Well located within seconds of central Hollywood Beach, Hollywood Broadwalk, near restaurants and shops, and entertainment. Noisy area, so don't come here if you want to relax! Old hotel appartment, with old amenities to almost none. Be advised that the two-storey building is not soundproof!

We showed up at the check-in at 8:20PM and the door sign said it is open. However, after knocking on the door and phone the office number for over 20 mins, there is no response. The office sign said it is open from 11am to 10pm and online said check-in is til midnight. We end up having to call Expedia for a relocation service after taking to 3 different agents who all have to call the property to confirm there is no check-in available first. Finally after 2 hours we were able to get check into another nearby property.

This is mine and my husbands 3rd time staying at the Charter house. I just wish the mattresses were more comfortable. The springs squeak any thing you move. Can’t sleep that good

Friendly and helpful staff. You don’t come to this place for the luxurious accommodation, but the excellent location!! Steps from the Broadwalk and the beach! Front desk two blocks away does not open before 11am. No drop key box.

They tried to tell us they didn’t have any rooms that slept 4 people, even though we clearly had a reservation. Place was disgustingly dirty. Survived one night pre cruise. Would not return.

Everything is within walking distance with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The AC was cold and the bed was clean. We had a small kitchenette that was equipped with the basics. My husband and I had a great time here.

The rooms and walls need to be modified

I have never left a bad review in my entire life, but here it is...awful! We got to the Motel, only to be told we were actually staying at The Caroline. (owner owns both) I paid, then we saw the room. Awful, we could not stay there. The smell of Lysol or whatever they use was unbearable, the condition of the room, the people outside our door hanging out drinking...all of it, sketch! Ended up wandering all over the area with our luggage trying to find a vacancy! Finally paid way more than we budgeted for a real nice room at Diane Suites. Highly recommend! Went back to the desk at Caroline, explained situation...then they couldn't understand English apparently. Went rounds with the owner for half an hour...I was crying, he reached out and help my hand and said 'Don't worry Sweetheart, we will refund your credit card right now...Nope. Been calling for three weeks now and they don't understand English again once they know I am wanting them to hold their end of the bargain and the owner even pretends he does not own the place, does not remember me and hangs up! Yeah....NO! The Charter House had mostly decent reviews, the Caroline not so much and yeah that is what ended up happening UHG

Our hotel experience started poorly and didn't improve. We faced a significant language barrier at check-in, requiring Google Translate to communicate. Our reservation was also delayed, leading to a late check-in at 9:00 PM. Without onsite parking at Charter House, we walked from the office to our accommodation, inconvenient at night. The room was disappointing, with a door that wouldn't close properly, only one bed despite promises of suitable space for three, and startling uncleanliness. The kitchen was greasy with possible decay under a burner, and we noticed broken floor tiles and an unlocked cabinet with the building's telecommunications equipment, a concerning oversight for an IT professional. Hotels.com refunded us after these issues, but finding alternative accommodation late at night was stressful, especially when the assisting agent became unresponsive. We eventually found a room through Wyndham after contacting multiple hotels. Despite the troubles, the hotel's beach location near bars could appeal to those less concerned with accommodations. This experience highlighted the importance of accurate listings and basic cleanliness and security standards in the hospitality industry.

Water barely got warm ,noisy air conditioner but it did work ,bed was not so comfortable dirty floors .

we reserve these place for my birthday weekend a month before an hour before checking in , we received a called that they dint had any rooms we still went there and everything was a nightmare's when we got there an old person calling himself the owner try to accommodate us in another place the room dint even had ac and we were not able to leave the room because they were employees trying to fix the ac that was broken beside the toilet dint worked either , next day we went to our assign motel charter house there was no parking even if you paid for it rooms are super duty bed is horrible a bad experience and i don't think is fair to paid 400 or something for 2 nigh and all of these to happened. service should be better and reservation should be accommodated on a correct manner to avoid all of these to happened again , ALSO CLEAN YOUR ROOMS - the area is great life music a lot places to eat and beach in the corner Hollywood itself is always a win win. please don't come here they are still cheap places with better quality.

Rooms are like little apartments. Very clean and extremely kind and friendly staff.

The only thing this property has going for itself is approximately to the boardwalk. Other than that it’s downright wind down. They need to sync a little bit of money and make the rooms worthwhile the description given on Expedia does not even come close to. What is there the room had no hand towels this hand sink in the bathroom was clogged, there was no hairdryer. The room was floor was dirty it was just sort of surface cleaned. I would never use the kitchen. The coffee maker clean wasn’t clean from the last person. There wasn’t blinds on the window so the sun just came in if you just looking for a place to literally sleep, that’s about what you get front desk. Communication was absolutely ridiculous . No resolution in the service fee or the resort fee you pay for is for landscape and laundry. I wouldn’t wash my clothes in their laundry closet of a place that always had laundry in it and there was no landscape so I’m not quite sure what they’re talking about.

Great distance from the beach, very convenient, the bedding had a few stains although I’m sure it had been washed. Good place to bring your own things and cook for yourself. The room was fairly clean. Could use more toilet paper and toiletries. Great for those travelling on a budget. Loved the location though!

It smelled really bad in the studio. I understood that this was due to the cleaning product, but in addition to the very poor condition of the place, this did not make the place attractive. I visited The Charter House during peak season and took 2 days to find something else elsewhere (yes in addition to The Charter House I paid for another hotel for the remaining 4 days)

Burned out light bulbs and no heat one block from the beach

Place is ok for the price. Didn’t really have any problems. A lot of these type property’s only have some there for a few hours each day. So tends to be a problem when something is needed. I asked for a few extra towels to be dropped off when I checked in and they were never drooped off. Could have used an iron, but nobody at office when I could have used it. It was my first visit here and I would stay again, but if I do I will get all my requests taken care on the first day there.

A family-run budget place in a great location 5 minute's walk from Hollywood Beach boardwalk. Mini market two minute's walk away for beer and other basic supplies, Good sized room with a/c, clean linen and towels. Microwave plus full-sized stove and fridge. Outdoor sitting area with barbecues

Just get a better place to stay. Pictures don’t do it justice, this is a motel, not a hotel, this is not even a good motel. It’s run down, the floors are sticky and the walls are wet because they spray disinfectant everywhere and call it clean. The shower floor will give you something if you don’t wear sandals, and they give you only a bar of dial soap and one roll of toilet paper for your stay, no other amenitiesx the entire stay I was slipping on the wet slippery floors and it was hard to sleep smelling all the disinfectant on my pillow and bedsheets. The main office smells weird and the old man was particularly rude. Maybe I just had a bad experience but for a hundred more dollars I should have gone literally anywhere else. They tried to justify the insane resort fees and parking fees but it’s not worth it, save your money.

Have to walk 2 blocks to go to the office. Can hear neighbors clearly. Fan and AC covered in black dust. TV doesn’t work. Old rundown furniture. Keypad lock defective. Office opens at 11.

The location is perfect as well as the parking (of course a fare charge for the night), but the room inside was messy, there was water on the floor you don't know from where come, the worst was no front desk to ask for more towels or service, the check-in you have to do close to the property but no service in the property, if you need anything is nobody to ask, the check out you have to leave because the office doesn't open until 11:00 am, I am waiting for the hold in the card released without charge, I left at 9:00 am, and nobody to check out around 11:15 am I called and security said office open at 11:00 am and I did the correct way for check just lock the door and left...

I NEVER GOT TO THE PROPERTY BECAUSE I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL THAR I HAS TO BE THERE BY 10 pm!!! After that EVERYTHING WENT TO HELL! I AM EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH HOTELS.COM AND THE HOTELS THAT WERE PRESENTED TO ME DURING MY VERY DIFFICULT TRIP TO BURY MY FATHER!!!!!

The area is located right next to the beach and a restaurant. Perfect walkable distance.

I didnt stay. Even tho I did my booking before the office close. According to expedia you have to registered in another address and when i went there it was close even tho the sign at the door says : closed at 10pm Me and mh baby arrived by 8pm. Poor communication, and if your office is close early, you shouldn't accept reservation after certain time.
