Het bed was niet comfortabel en de hoogte van de tafel is niet fijn om langdurig aan te zitten. Prima verblijf voor vakantie! Tip: iets grotere en andere pannen, het eten past er amper in en brand heel snel aan.

Anuncien "Free parking" però en realitat el que haurien de dir és que aparcar al carrer no és difícil perquè normalment hi trobes lloc i no hi ha parkimetre. El "check out" a les 10 a.m. és una mica aviat, a l'hivern encara és fosc. Caldria dir que és un edifici de varies plantes sense ascensor per si algun client té dificultats de mobilitat.

Nice accommodation, spacious room with own bathroom. Kitchen was shared, but well equipped. City center is 15 mins walk.

The sound isolation could be improved, the guests in the next room were preparing early morning and we heard everything. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance, it would be nice to be offered some slippers.

Small, clean apartment in a good location for exploring the city.

On third floor and up steep stairs with no lift, tricky with suitcases and children.

Great communication from the host, and we loved the guidebook that was provided in the room. Location was also good, not too far from the center of town. Parking area got crowded at night but we were able to find a spot a bit up the street. Great directions, very easy to find. Be aware that its a ground-floor unit, but we felt very safe. Great for 1-2 people; would stay again!

No foyer or transitional area to shield you from the street; because its just the one room, when you open the front door passers-by can see your bed and even into the bathroom (if the bathroom door is open).

The cleanliness was exceptional, very warm and tidy place. Large common kitchen with all the equipment you might need.

Room doors were not able to soundproof adequately, window blinds were broken so light was coming in.

We have stayed at apartment #5. It’s a nice size 1 bedroom apartment with a private bathroom. the kitchen was well equipped, very clean and convenient.

Marie Helena responded to my text immediatelly when we couldn't find the storage for luggage. She gave us a recommendation for breakfast. SHe had the room cleaned early and texted me that the room was ready!

One bathroom is not enough for a shared apartment that can host so many people (5 rooms). My room was very small and the only reachable socket was broken.

Out of the main city location. Super comfy bed and generally really clean. Shower and kitchen area were great!

Location is great--about 10-15 minutes walk to the center of town. Room was clean, kitchen is sparkly clean with lots of utensils, pots/pans, variety of spices, oils, vinegar, and tea/coffee options to choose from. Shared bathroom is also very clean and has a hot dry rack. Washing machine is in the kitchen. Room 3 bed was large and comfortable. Easy access (the hostess sends a video link to show how to self check-in, which is super helpful). Maria Helena is amazing! Every inquiry/request I had, she graciously accommodated. Maria Helena is a fantastic, empathetic, and understanding hostess. Thank you so, so much!

Depending on who is renting the other four (out of five) rooms on the second floor, it can get noisy (both in the kitchen and rooms/hallway since room/building walls are thin). Although room locks and doors have quirky (old) charm, when people open and close them, locking/unlocking (and door slamming) results in quite a bit of noise. This is especially problematic when people come back home from town late (after midnight) or leave very early in the morning (i.e., 4am). Having room doors open/close quietly might be a worthwhile investment in "upgrade." Five rooms (1-2 or more people per room) with just one shared bathroom available could be a challenge, especially if several people each shower taking up 15-20 min per person, while someone else needs to use a bathroom...

Check-in video that the hostess provided us with is a great idea! This makes things very clear. The apartment (3rd floor) is spacious, clean, fully furbished kitchen (although we didn't use it, nor did we do any cooking). Apartment is conveniently located, within walking distance from the center of Reykjavik. After a week of traveling and sharing bathrooms with others, having one's own bathroom was a great feeling. Maria Helena is amazing! It was very easy to communicate with her, and we greatly appreciate her accommodation of our requests.

If you are traveling from the US and have a big luggage with you, then keep in mind that you will have to drag it up to a second or third floor on narrow, winding stairs (there is no elevator). Those who are light sleepers beware--the building has thin walls and noise carries through windows as well.

Only one restroom and shower for several rooms.
