Overall okay place to stay. Mattress was a little saggy in the middle, room had a broken lamp and was in need of room darkening curtains. Heater also did not seem to work properly.

I should say first that the inside of the room was excellent. Very comfortable bed, good coffee, very clean and recently remodeled.. Not much of a view--none, actually--it had more of a daylight basement feel. When I asked for a different location, I was told that if I wanted a view, I should have booked a better room. Further, I didn't get to check in until after five because the room was not ready,. I was told that "check-in times are not guaranteed," and "that's true at all hotels." funny, that has happened only once before in 30 years of frequent travel, and when it did, I was compensated with an upgrade. Not here, though. When I suggested a late check out, I was told to ask in the morning, but warned that "it might not be possible." When hotels.com attempted to intervene on my behalf (I asked for a no penalty cancellation, so that I could go find a room that actually was ready), I'm told that the front desk said i was being untrue. i'm not a fan of complaining, and I wouldn't if I didn't feel somewhat gaslit by the whole process. I won't stay here again ...even if the (inside of) the room was lovely.

Enjoyed staying here. Property is old but very well maintained. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and big refrigerator! Best thing is the beach is right across the street. Check in and out was very fast and easy. I would definitely stay here again!

Loved everything about it except the petty reviews I read online that made me hesitate to book. I’m glad I did because those who don’t feel safe here have a problem. Those who think some peeling paint and/or some minor defects in the room’s appearance are reason to demand discounts are trifling whiners. Those who don’t see the beauty of this place instead of looking for the defects should be charged double. The gardens are spectacular. They’re maintained beautifully. The pool deck and water was immaculate. The staff was accommodating and helpful. I hope people who read those reviews and people who’d agree with them go stay elsewhere so I can stay here again!! No Karens! No Kevins! Only people who want to enjoy understated elegance in peace should book here.

This is a beautiful area, but way too outdated property. At a first night of my stay power went out at 5 in the morning - no light, no air conditioner, no heated pool (by the way a very dirty pool), no WiFi. You can hear everything that is going on in other rooms next to you, barking dogs, TV, people talk. People at reception are were nice and area around is great, room is big and has new floors, but that is about it. They says that room has kitchenette - room has microwave, fridge and kettle (obviously none of it worked with power outrage). No caps, plates, coffee, tea maker etc. No place to hang your clothe.

I'd like to share that the TV would play movies because the WiFi connection was bad, it was nice location and staff was polite

We liked that it was quiet and faced the beach. The bed was very comfortable. It was also rather bare bones for the price

It was a great little spot for an overnight stay. It’s in a great location and very affordable. Your typical beachy hotel.

To preface, I tried to air my concerns with the front desk, but was told these weren't housekeeping issues but an aesthetics one and that they get too many service calls so they don't check their messages. The king balcony room was incredibly dirty. The carpet was matted and had debris on it, the sofa was stained, there were grease stains on the wall above the bed, the shelf to store clothing was stained, there were stains on the floor and bathroom vanity handles, the bathroom caulking was covered in black mold and the bathtub glaze was cracked and peeling, the dust build up along the beams was so heavy that dust was dripping down in clumps, the curtain bars were on the brink of collapse, the balcony was covered in plant debris, the chairs were so dirty we had to lay towels down to sit on them, and there was virtually no light in the bathroom. We came home one evening and the water wasn't working in the bathroom, so I called down and left a message that was never returned. SO, if your aesthetic is "$500/night room that's never been cleaned" then this is the place for you.

I checked out after one night. I could see light around my door when closed, did not fee safe. Room was not clean. Not anything like the photos or descriptions. I waisted 3 nights worth room fees. Very disappointed.

It’s a walk away towards the Montage beach resort which is quite a spectacular view.

Nice little boutique hotel, very clean . Good location across from beach. Only stayed one night after a wedding, very comfortable, would consider visiting again, more time .

Property misrepresented on website, broken furniture and died plants on balcony. Manager rude and combative. My understanding property had been sold and they have let it go until they feel like doing g anything to it. Pool was uninviting, was there 3 days no one used the pool will we were there, it’s hot outside. Stairs filthy walking up to the room and more died plants. Have a 12 inch pipe coming out of the wall to use as a closet. Bathtub was slippery, shower head and faucet leaking and didn’t function well. I asked for a refund told me wasn’t possible because I used Orbitz and not going right thru them to book. Tried serval times to contact Orbitz customer service no response. Made a long awaited vacation expensive and frustrating.

I have stayed here at least 4 times and my wife has stayed at least 7 times. Only complaint this time is that they raised the prices and yet no longer serve the complimentary breakfast. That was one thing my wife always looked forward too. At least the pool was heated.

Suites were big, beds were comfortable. easy access to beaches.

I think they should be able to give you an early check in, when there's nobody in your room, and you're sitting there just waiting for it to be cleaned. I think 4:00pm check-in is a little late when check-out is 11:00 !!

Super cute, no frills, would stay again

It was a beautiful place to stay. The only thing I wasn’t happy about is that we requested the room to be cleaned and they just put the towels and new soaps on the unmade bed in our not cleaned room. Then the next day we moved the garbages and the towels to the front of the room so it was obvious we wanted them removed and replaced/cleaned. We came back from the beach later and they didn’t take the trash or the towels, or replenish the towels or soaps this day. I had my boyfriend complain to the manager on duty and he was very apologetic about the cleaning staff not doing any cleaning or replenishing towels, shampoo products. We had normal amount of garbage and towels so not sure what that was about but otherwise nice location for us to stay.

The room was decent and a short walk directly west gets you to a PERFECT little beach.

Great location Property and rooms are clean but small and dated.

I used to enjoy this property. Doors falling apart getting stuck and property isn’t as clean and beautiful and well stocked as it used to be. I won’t be coming back
