We really enjoyed our stay in Nevada City. The location was great and very walkable to shops and restaurants. Parking was easy. The narrow driveway was ok, but lots of street spots were available right across the street. The home is very nice. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with a nice variety of things people had left such as spices, cooking oil, etc... I think its nice when some of those things can become communal with renters. The back deck was very nice and a great spot for breakfast, afternoon card games, and the kids enjoyed just hanging out. The front and side patios are also very comfortable with shade and are a great place to hang out. There are several cooling systems in the home and they work great. It was easy to regulate temperatures and it never got too hot during the 100 degree days. We enjoy Nevada City partially for access to the Yuba River. It is close by and fun. The home even had some river towels available. If the occasion arises I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Spacious, comfy beds, excellent location

This 1890 house is extremely spacious! It has comfortable beds, is well-appointed with everything you need to enjoy your time in Nevada City (including towels for the Yuba river!) and has a lovely patio. The host was very responsive and we hope to return.

We stayed first week of May, fabulous weather. Walked to dinner, shopping and the beautiful Deer Creek Trail. We loved the house. Three senior ladies. All had our own room with comfortable beds and lots of light. Lovey decor in each room. Owners have lovely taste. The curved stairs to the two upstairs bedrooms are a little tricky, but sturdy. We paid a visit to the Tulip Garden at Ananda Village and toured the North Star Historic House designed by famous architect Julia Morgan. Neveda City and Grass Valley are beautiful historic Sierra Foothill cities worth a visit and a weeklong stay. We would gladly rent this home again.

The house was perfect. We each had a lovely bedroom . A large living room was a comfortable gathering place. The proximity for walking to restaurants and shopping was so convenient. We are looked forward to our next visit.

This house is well equipped for a short family vacay, which was exactly what we needed! Great location right by town. Host graciously provides coffee, sugar, and creamer and a few other pantry goods. Great recommendations for local meals and sights too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Our visit was great! The host provided the perfect pack and play for our baby to sleep in and rapidly answered my questions. We had no issues. The property thankfully kept power even when surrounding areas did not.

What a great property. The house is so charming and spacious, with lovely outdoor spaces and great places to gather. Its easy walking distance to downtown. I also must comment on how comfortable the beds are - we slept great!!
