This is a spectacular B&B. A one bedroom apartment that's twice as big as our Parisian flat, in an 18th century house, decorated with taste and an attention for every detail. The breakfast was delicious. Patrick is knowledgeable about the area and incrédule helpful and welcoming. His dog is a heartbreaker. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Having to leave!

I have stayed at Blue-Ruby Bed & Breakfast several times and each time has been a complete delight. Patrick is most accommodating to any need that you may have during your stay and Lacy is a bonus. The entire place is impeccably decorated and clean. Patrick is a great cook; breakfast is always amazing. I thoroughly enjoy my stay at Blue-Ruby and I have upcoming reservations for August, October and December.

This is an excellent B&B! Patrick is a wonderful host and has a great eye for detail. The home is gorgeous - beautiful colors, decorations and character. Plenty of parking in the back yard and is in a great location to restaurants and shops which are in walking distance. I was very impressed with my accommodations - 3 rooms; sitting room with couch, chairs and tv. Bedroom with king size bed and large dresser. Bathroom was very spacious as well. I did not have breakfast but the food smelled good! Patrick has a menu from which you select what you want and the time you want to eat. The menu looked very nice! I am definitely staying here again!!

Personable owner. Excellent breakfast. Convenient and easy to get to. Close to the excellent Albemarle Museum.

Nothing at all. If I had to choose a con, it would be the parking. Very small area to park but was fine since we were the only ones staying.

delicious breakfast cooked by the host. He was very accommodating as to time of service. We enjoyed having both a bedroom and a sitting room, as well as an outdoor covered porch. It was easy to walk to the waterfront or to other shops or restaurants.

You'll be climbing some winding stairs to reach top floor rooms. Not a problem for us (we're in our 70's), but just a heads-up.

The property was beautiful and clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The host was extremely accommodating.
