Lovely people running it. Close to the beach, shops etc. Restaurant and bar at property. Filtered water on tap. Very welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful building architecture, furnishings and plants.

Can be noisy and night time due to nearby bars

Das Zimmer war weitestgehend sauber, die Betten frisch und bequem. Es gab eine möglich, seine sandigen Füße sauber zu machen, bevor man die Zimmer betritt . Hinter der Bar durfte man sich immer frisches Filterwasser selbst nehmen.

Es gab keinen offiziellen Wasserkocher ( haben dann aber doch den in der Küche benutzen dürfen, und sonst soll man die Küche nicht betreten) und keinen Kühlschrank den man mitbenutzen konnte. Das Bad war nicht sonderlich sauber. Der Vorraum des guesthouses war gleichzeitig ( am Abend) eine öffentliche Bar,dadurch konnte es länger laut werden. Die Zimmer hatten Belüftungen nach außen auf den Flur (auf der einen Seite gut, ) aber auf der anderen Seite war es dadurch auch etwas lauter.

Un accueil très sympa, de l'eau en libre service, dès qu'on demande un service ou une aide les gérants sont présents et aux petits soins. L'emplacement est très bien. La chambre avec ventilateur est simple avec toilettes et douches communes, le tout est globalement propre et c'est une bonne adresse

Le seul bémol c'est le matelas de notre chambre (5) qui était vraiment inconfortable

Best value stay on the island. Owners are lovely and so helpful, the room and clean and comfortable. The vegan dumplings are also delicious.

Mela and Ian are wonderful people and great hosts, we stayed at Macondo for 5 nights but could’ve easily stayed longer. Macondo is a stones throw away from the beach and pier, close to local amenities and eateries. The room was great and made for such a comfortable stay. The community of M’pai Bay is unique to the islands of Cambodia and we really felt a part of it even if for a short time. We loved it here, we couldn’t recommend Macondo enough.

Some renovation work currently underway, we’re just sad we won’t get to see it when it’s finished!

the owner is a beautiful nice-going Chinese lady with good cooking of Chinese dumplings.she also help me printing and lending me slippers. Her USA husband is also very nice and zealous to help me. Very appreciate her considerated hospitality. The one person big bed fan room is low price but big, silent, clean and bed is soft. also very few mosquitoes. whole place is just remodeled in an antique decorations with this couple's love and care. Worth the penny and VERY recommend..

The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. We stayed on two separate occasions and both times they let us extend our stay until we were ready to leave.

It wasn't the cleanest but the place is still under construction so that's understandable.
