The guest house was spotlessly clean in all areas. Our room was very pleasant and comfortable, and we had no problem relaxing. The communal area was a home from home and a place where we were able to take in the great mountain views and enjoy the peaceful location of Vallorcine. We tried Helens Mountain breakfast, and there was plenty of good food provided for a substantial breakfast. Overall, Helen and Steve were great hosts, very hospitable, and we very much enjoyed staying at the Guest House, and certainly would again.

Absolutely beautiful house, looks like it came out of a fairy tale. The house on the inside was so beautifully decorated, it was so cozy. You can see the attention to detail and love that was put into it. It really felt like you belonged in someone’s story, that’s the best way I can describe how intimate the place felt.

Our time at the guest house was a blessing, so quiet and truly dark at night, great for deep rest and recovery from a day of skiing. We stayed at the room with the bath tub, it was so delightful to soak before dinner time. The best part of our stay was the breakfasts and late evenings, when we gathered around the dining room table and chime in for conversations with guests from all over Europe. Helen, our host had such a maternal and nourshing presence, when she scrambles you eggs for breakfast and brings you coffee it is such a speacial feeling. We are thankful for a magical stay at Vallorcine and we are going to come back soon.

the house is a bit remote to the street and parking.. which is good but also would be challenging for people with limited mobility, baby prams , etc.

Reviews stated the driveway is long and steep but I didn’t realize it was also rocky so I was unable to roll my suitcase up. It was too heavy to carry so Very inconvenient.

Helen is a perfect hostess, she really make us feel at home and gave us advice about what to do during pur stay at Chamonix. The house and the surroundings are incredible and perfect to relax and feel the nature.

Helen's property is astoundingly good. The Guest House was comfortable, beautiful, clean, well decorated, and in a stunning location on a huge plot of land surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Helen is such a warm, friendly, caring host - and the breakfast she provides every morning is excellent, with a wide selection of breads, jam, yogurt, cereals, meats and cheeses. We absolutely loved staying here and hope to be back - maybe for some skiing in the winter.

Beautiful location, would have liked to have been there longer. Took the train from Chamonix to Vallorcine for the night and then walked across to Switzerland early the next morning to catch a connecting train. Fantastic host, enjoyed our chat.

I think we are in love with this place now and hopefully we have many opportunities to go back. We wanted a quiet place to rest after visiting family all week and we found it. It is a lovely cozy house surrounded by beautiful mountains. Breakfast was delicious, our host Helen was lovely, we had great chats over breakfasts with her. We couldn't be happier about our stay.

The Guest House is a lovely place to stay for a quiet get-away. There are lovely hikes nearby, and you can take a gondola up the mountain from next to the train station. Helen is very welcoming and helpful, and prepares a tasty full breakfast. We cooked our own dinner one night in the common area kitchen. The garden was full of flowers in June, and the view from the balcony is so picturesque.
