Lovely home for our annual trip with just our grandkids who were old enough to enjoy a trip to DC. Everything anyone would need is provided. Thank you for your hospitality.

My family and I were in town for our grandson’s graduation. Vat’s home was very clean and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the off-street parking since this is a busy street. We enjoyed the convenience of a coffee shop & restaurant close by. Communication with Vat was very responsive. One thing to note is that the ice maker did not work.

The house was just perfect! Good locations for all the things we wanted to do. Very clean and well stocked with all of our needs. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the evenings. If I could give it a rating of 10 stars, I would. If we ever return to DC, we will stay here again.

We spent a wonderful long weekend here during Historic Garden Week. The house is cozy and comfortable, attractively decorated and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including off-street parking. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the heart of Old Town Alexandria and Washington, DC is a short ride away by metro or car and you can take a water taxi for a more scenic route.

The home is comfortably situated in a convenient location in Old Town Alexandria. Just a short walk to the metro, it offers a great base for exploring DC by day and enjoying quiet evenings in the charm of Old Town.

We stayed March 25-29; We try to take as many coparenting trips as possible, we found this rental & it was perfect for what we needed. Upon entry you're greeted by an adorable coffee bar area & beautiful brick arch, the home has so many indescribably adorable characteristics, it's just the sweetest. We sat in the dinning room every morning for breakfast, my son loved the computer desk at the front windows for him to have some down time & also people watch. My favorite spot was the chair by the front, it gave me a spot to color with the colored pencils & book provided, it gave me some time to decompress. I enjoyed my morning coffee there & all the books offered. The whole house is well decorated, we felt at home. We spent the good part of our days in Washington & I spent some good time walking up and down King Street. My son absolutely fell in love with Alexandria & the house, he did not want to leave at all. We feel the same. Some things to make note of: -Read the binder Vat provides! She has put a lot of love into sharing her home and what it (& the town) has to offer. -I have severe sensory issues, I did end up purchasing new bedsheets & taking off the mattress protector because the sound & texture has very harsh to me (this is a personal thing) -There are sound barriers on the windows & it helps a lot. -The ice maker did not work for us. -A short walk to foxtrot will give you a pretty decent plain slice of pizza if you need a quick lunch. -Sit & enjoy the house!

The house was very convenient to everything we needed. Very walkable and easy to get to DC on the Metro. It was roomy with comfortable furniture and beds. It had a mostly equipped kitchen but was lacking in saucepans and also no cutting board that I could find but I made do. I always cook when we travel so that’s important to me. But the appliances were nice. The 3 parking places were a godsend. The road the house sits on is super busy so a little noisy. Loved the showers. Overall, an excellent base in Old Town Alexandria.

This home was in a fantastic location for a DC visit. The host Vat was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The home was very clean and provided everything we needed for a great stay. The Old Town community it was located in was pretty neat and had many choices for food and drinks. 10/15 minute drive across the river to get to national mall and a slew of Smithsonian museums. Great place to stay. Thank you Vat.

We love to make Old Town our “home base” when we visit the DC area. And this historic (but up-to-date) home is the perfect place for a family stay. All the creature comforts both inside and outside to make our stay comfy. The off-street parking is a BIG deal. The communication with management is prompt and helpful. And with a short two block walk to King Street the location is perfect. If it’s available, snap it up! You won’t regret it!

Such a charming and lovely home. Very clean and spacious. It was great to cook meals and even had some extended family over for dinner. Bedrooms very nice and bathrooms remodeled. This was just a great place and we look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful time at Vat's place. The house had a great A/C for the warm days and the location was near the free bus, restaurants and King Street to get on the Metro everyday. Great location to get to DC and back to explore the museums and sites with our children. Also the owner was very responsive, and above and beyond helpful. Thank you for our stay, I would definitely recommend this place!

House was great and was very clean. No surprises. Good location. And off-steet parking behind the house was unique and a fantastic feature. It made everything so much easier. Overall a 5 star place to stay.
