We were a group of 12, 6 adults and 6 kids ages 1-15. We all came from different countries. It was a great location but, also one of those, "you get what you pay for" situations or as my sister called it, "a bit of smoke and mirrors." It was clean, and styled nicely but, VERY randomly. There were desks crammed into rooms taking up space, lamps that were not plugged in nor even plugs available so they could not be used. There was a TV mounted on the wall but was not plugged in, nor a plug anywhere near it. There was an air hockey table but no puck. My family flew in from India where we live and we kept getting canned replies as to why we could not check in sooner even though there was no one staying the day before as per the website (clearly a "bot"). We had to get a luggage storage place because we landed at Heathrow at 10:00 and were not allowed check-in until 15:00. The others in our party arrived the next day - that is when the shower upstairs started to have issues. There was no water pressure and barely a trickle would come out. When I tried to address it, I was asked to send a video to a separate email. In the meantime all 12 of us were using one shower. Then I was asked to verify MY email to look for the video. Also, with most VRBO/AirB&B you get a helpful book for rules or tips but there was none. In summary, a GREAT location, very clean, but a bit to be desired. Solid stay if you only need a place to sleep.

So we had a good time at the property, but it did not live up to the standard we would expect for a Vrbo residence. First, there was no Wifi - not good for 5 US travellers - and nothing could be done about it. The 5 of us were forced to go to cafes (not many nearby) to email friends, conduct business, schedule tickets and travel and even communicate with the hosts. The lack of Wifi should have been clearly presented in the listing, not hidden in the itemization. Also, the listing said that 13 people could be accommodated. Fine if people just want to sleep and have coffee and toast. However, the kitchen was inadequate for cooking a real meal, even for just 5 of us never mind 10-13. Only three small useable cooking pots were provided in the kitchen (3 others were completely rusted!). There were 2 showers but the upstairs one did not always work (not enough hot water perhaps?). The TV in the living gave us some problems with channel selection. A games room is shown in the pictures but most of the equipment was missing (no darts for the dart board, no ice hockey pucks, missing snooker ball) and, in any case, the room is too small to be able to play anything without bumping into the walls. Finally the area was clean and safe but there was a lack of good cafes, restaurants and interesting shops. This place was not cheap and I would say that it was (a) not good value for money and (b) did not give us a good feeling about vrbo.

Unfortunately we had a few issues that were not able to be resolved during our stay. We had no hot water and no electricity on the top 3 floors of the house for the majority of our stay. We were a large group so moving locations was not an option. While the host was responding back and forth, they expected us to go quite a bit with checking breakers in multiple locations. I did not get any assistance from VRBO upon our return.
