We enjoyed 2 weeks on the Lady Jane. The houseboat had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved that there was a short walk to two quaint Italian restaurants. We also enjoyed the ice cream shop that was close by. Most days we were out, but the one day I stayed on the boat, the small deck was just right to read my book and wave to the boats on the canal. The main street had many shops and restaurants, and it was only a 15-minute walk to Museumplein and Vondelpark.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lady Jane! We were fortunate enough to be able to check in early and take a nap after our long flight which was very much appreciated. It was very nice to have a “home base” that wasn’t a hotel room and one that was immersed in Dutch culture was even better. The Lady Jane’s location is excellent- close to parks, restaurants and museums. Next time we’re in Amsterdam, we will certainly check if the Lady Jane is available for our stay!

I had been to Amsterdam many times for business, but my wife had never visited before. We loved our days taking in all the sites and places to visit, and we loved the place we stayed in! It was a little outside the busier areas of the city center area and felt a little like a residential neighborhood area, which we loved since we could be in the true city center area with a 5-10 minute walk. Our only frustration, and it was minimal, was the communication with the property manager a week before arrival and the day of arrival, but overall, we still give the place a 5-star rating. Thank you!!

We liked this location as our first trip to Amsterdam. The boat was clean and comfortable. My 18 yr old daughter and I slept fine in the bed together. I would have loved a bit heavier, or second blanket, for warmth and comfort.

This was my second time renting a houseboat in Amsterdam and this one was across the canal from the first one. The neighborhood is lovely, close to the Jordaan and easy walking distance to museum quarter and Leidseplein. It was a joy to sit on the deck and watch the canal traffic go by on a long spring evening.
There were details that were not paid attention to - the dining area light was out and the clock in the kitchen did not work. There was no soap at the bathroom sink. And, as other people have said, the bedding was sparse. There was a duvet cover but no duvet. We used a mattress cover for warmth. But the houseboat was a very pleasant place to spend a week.

Our stay at the houseboat was wonderful! It was in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood but within walking distance from the center of downtown. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I had a lovely stay on the houseboat. It was a unique experience to get to stay on the canal while visiting Amsterdam for the first time. The location is perfect with everything you need a walk away. We also rented bikes, which was a kick and made getting around much quicker. The place was clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

We enjoyed our stay on this comfortable houseboat in this quiet & conveniently located neighborhood!
The property had everything we needed. It was missing a couple of amenities upon our arrival, but that was quickly remedied by the property manager.
Communication with the property manager was fast & easy. She provided all the info we needed for a comforatble stay.
Our only negative experience was that the deck was quite slippery as the algae on it hadn't been cleaned off & the rain made the algae very slick. We had to clean the deck ourselves to render it safe to walk on.

Our stay began with EARLY entry almost 7 hours early. We were able to get inside, hit the supermarket which was a quick walk from the place, take a nap before our preplanned dinner reservations. We blew the electric in the house by plugging in a US surge protector into a converter and into the wall. Management was over in a jiffy to fix it, then we blew the plumbing because it didn't reset with the electricity. The owner came over and fixed the plumbing went to his house and collected an adapter for the electricuty and we were all set, never had another issue the entire time we were there. All of our issues were resolved and a timely and efficient manner. The house boat is surprisingly comfortable, the spot next to the dining table was our perch the whole week. Watching the ducks, seagulls and swans come right up to the window as soon as you open the blinds is a lot of fun, we did end of feeding them on the last day. Sitting in the window and watching the water in the canal slowly go down stream is so tranquil. The kitchen and the bathroom is recently updated. There isn't a lot of air circulation so nothing dries in the bathroom, but the host left us loads of towels for the week, so it wasn't really a problem. The bed is hard and seems to be on 2 levels. The bedding was disappointing, not unclean, just minimal. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate recommending it.

Had a nice stay. Enjoyed being on the canal and watching the boats go by. The house is in a great location for exploring Amsterdam. Lots of places nearby to eat and drink.

We had a perfect stay at this houseboat! The location is ideal, nice quiet canal and easy walking distance to everything. The boat is spacious and well equipped. It is on the sunny side of the canal, so pleasant to sit on the deck & enjoy a glass of wine after a long day of exploring. We would easily stay here again and highly recommend it!!

The houseboat is gorgeous!
The check in process was so great, with Diana meeting me when I arrived and walking through everything I needed to know, including the local shops and grocery stores.
The houseboat itself had everything I needed and was in a great location. Highly recommend!

My wife and I loved the canal boat. Watching the boats and the birds go by was very relaxing. Several very good local restaurants are near the boat.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely houseboat for 4 nights while visiting Amsterdam. Suzanne and Diana were wonderful hosts and so helpful with suggestions for the area and arranging a taxi to and from the airport for us. The houseboat is in an ideal location because it’s within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go, but on a quiet canal that was very peaceful. The kitchen was big enough for us to prepare small meals and the living and bedroom spaces were very nice. Our weather was not the greatest, but I could see the outdoor deck being very nice to use in the warmer weather. We loved sitting in our living room watching the boats go by. I was wondering about the water pressure for showers in a houseboat, but it was great and plenty of hot water. We would recommend this highly!

The houseboat was exactly as seen in the ad. We loved awakening to the sounds of the ducks and then enjoying the boats cruising by. It was a bit further from the centre than we had expected.According to Google it’s 23 minutes by tram to Central Station- 34 min. Walk and 13 minutes by tram to the Van Gough- 19 minute walk. But we were looking for comfort and quiet- and we found it! I want to move to Amsterdam and live on a houseboat!

Very comfortable accommodations in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to much of central Amsterdam. A fantastic last stop to a three week Europe trip.

The place was located about 6 blocks from the action in any direction. Not noisy AT ALL. Good size space. It was rainy so we didn't use the patio much but its a cool spot for morning coffee/tea. This place has all the tools you need to prep full meals. Small fridge but otherwise the kitchen is GREAT! Bathroom is set up well and modern. Really good shower (I'm 6'3 230lbs).
Take their advice on the cab. It worked out perfectly. The driver was on time, super helpful and a generally good dude.
Bring a Chrome or fire stick if you want more than news and a few channels on TV. They also could use some new (larger) bedding. It was totally clean just small relative to the bed size.
This is a GREAT place for couples that want to me in the mix but not directly in it (noise). You're walking distance to everything touristy. The Red Light District is a bit little further away but easy to get to but tram/bike/walk.
Great location. Really nice place. The Hosts were AWESOME. I highly recommend.

Our stay in Amsterdam was more special by staying on the water. Peaceful location. Property was clean and the managers were excellent. It had everything that we needed. The location was close to the transportation, but we didn't need it. We walked to get more of Amsterdam. Highly recomend!

Highly recommend visiting Amsterdam and staying on a canal; it was beautiful, peaceful and in an amazing location. The mgmt company was very communicative although there are some small things that could be done to improve the stay. Half the dishes were dirty when I arrived (glad for a dishwasher!), the shower door would not close which soaked the bathroom leaving a fairly strong damp smell, and checkout was promptly 10am (cleaner waiting at the door for me to go before 10) - maybe just me but 11am is the common standard . Still a great stay and would stay again with these fixes!

Bigger than a hotel suite, the main attraction was that it is a canalboat and it has a nice patio. We stayed three nights, had dinner on it one night, had wine on the patio every night, watching boats go by and enjoying the serenity of the canal. The city is very walkable from the canalboat, the farthest we had to go was a bit over a mile. . .most places were 0.8 of a mile away.
The living room/dining room is quite spacious, the kitchen is bigger than expected. The bed is large and comfortable, and the bathroom was pleasantly large.
Just a half block up the cross-street is Toussaint Cafe, which is an excellent place for drinks and/or dinner (we had drinks one night and liked it so much we had our final meal there).
Staying on a canalboat was a real treat for my wife and I -- all our friends now want to stay on it too!
Highly recommend!

This was the perfect spot and an attractive property. It was close but quiet. Staying on the water is something everyone should do on a trip a to Amsterdam and this place fits. It had everything you need for a weekend stay and more.

A great way to experience Amsterdam is staying in a houseboat, and this little gem was perfect. Just the right size for two, appointed with enough storage space and cooking implements, plus a little side deck for having our morning coffee on. Close to everything, and I mean everything. Trams, buses, excellent shops, cafes, and within walking of any area in Amsterdam.

This canal home is clean, updated, minimalistic, basic, and was fine for my solo stay. The layout is a bit right; furnishings were quite “basic”; the bathroom is new. With a small investment in nicer furniture, some kitchen furnishings, abs better use of the exterior deck, this home could be great improved!

Very roomy fun option for the ultimate Amsterdam experienced. Was a little worried about being on the water but there's hardly any boats going by and you can't feel it move at all.
Diana met us upon arrival and gave us a bunch of good tips. Would stay there again!

Delightful location to stay and just a good vibe of the property. The balcony's lovely to sit outside and take in the canal and I loved opening the window of the bedroom to the water wo feet from you head taking in a sweet little breeze. Throw in beautiful swans and ducks who want to give you some Amsterdam love. Fantastic place overall and I would recommend.
