This is one of the most unique stays I have had on all my travels. It is an old bungalow set on a tea plantation out in the jungle forest about 40min TukTuk ride away from Galaha. The room was lovely with a big comfy bed. Really hot water in shower. There was a TV room with reclining couches to relax in! And not to mention the infinity pool and outdoor jacuzzi. A delicious dinner of rice and curry was prepared along with a lovely omelette for breakfast. They even have a basic gym with excellent weights in it! I arrived in Galaha after completing the Pekoe Trail Stage 1 Hike and needed a place to stay. Deepthi the owner was amazing and helped to arrange a TukTuk out to Rockbourne Bungalow. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge to walk back the way of Stage 1 to Halantha the following day.. If anyone in Kandy is interested in the Pekoe Trail this bungalow is a gem to rest up for a night.

Coming off the Pekoe Trail the TukTuk ride from Galaha is a bit long BUT the views are stunning en route and it is completely worth it for such a unique and lovely place to stay

This place is an absolute gem. If you want to have a private and cosy relax time this is the place to be. Rockbourne Bungalow is a beautiful place with gorgeous rooms and fabulous service. Staff was amazing, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food is delicious. This is a very special place and we highly recommend it as a base for visiting. We had a memorable stay!!

Looked for a relaxing, cozy spacious bungalow to enjoy with my family. Found this amazing place. We loved the bungalow. Staff cooked tasty food and gave a very good service. Definitely will come back again. Children loved the garden and enjoyed the hike behind the property!

The Rockbourne bungalow was simply amazing. Truly luxurious, colonial and clean place. View is breathtaking. Very friendly, helpful staff. We stayed one night and they cooked yummy breakfast. Hope to visit again soon !
