Breakfast was excellent. Room was cleaned everyday and had all required amenities. Location was also excellent as it was in the centre of the town and all important visiting places were nearby and approachable. Manager and the staff were very cordial, helpful and nice.

No arrangement for lunch/dinner. This may be looked into.

The property was very clean. The staff was also very polite and helpful. Most places of interest in Pondichéry are within walking distance of the property.

For the price we paid, the amenities are extremely basic, and we didn't find the property worth the price. The property is situated on an extremely busy Main road with no parking space. The parking offered by the property is 1km away which takes 15-20 mins to walk to. Since the road is busy, you can also expect a lot of traffic noise till late in the night. The images of the room we originally booked had ample sunlight entering the room, and the amenities looked nice. But when we reached, we found that the room has NO windows, smelled moldy, and was dark and dingy. Thankfully we were allowed to change our room, but even then, we were first allotted a smaller room with similar issues, before (and after some candid feedback) we were given a room with any sunlight (upstairs). Our room only had a bed, a wardrobe, and a washroom. There were no extra chairs to sit on inside the room, and there are no common spaces outside the room to sit in either. Our room had a nice balcony but it was unfurnished and facing the road, which was noisy, making it unusable. We felt stuck and cramped inside our room. We didn't receive any toiletries except for a bar soap, and we also didn't have any tea or coffee sachets. We had to buy those for ourselves. Our bed was very uncomfortable due to the quality of the mattress, and the air conditioner in the room strangely faces the common area instead of the bed, which makes it impossible to cool the room. The breakfast service in the mornings is extremely slow (2 people in a kitchen), and the seating is very limited. We almost waited forty minutes on our second day despite being at the kitchen at 7.30,which is when they promise to start serving, due to which we almost missed our scheduled visit to Matrimandir. The quality of the food ranges from good to average. Lastly, their hospitality needs a lot of improvement.

Way too noisy especially if your room is toward the street but also can hear everything happening within the property.

Zimmer 202 ist sooooo laut, ohne Ohrstöpsel no way to sleep. Einrichtung Zimmer heruntergekommen, fast schäbig. Frühstücksraum lieblos eingerichtet, alles aus Plastik. Kein gemütlicher Eingangsbereich, keine Gemütlichkeit, nirgends. Überteuert, 2000 Rupien allein für frühen Check In.

Absence of TV

The location. Its a 5 min walk to the Rock beach. You will spot the Sukku coffee shop on the walk. That used to be our daily routine morning and evening.

I liked pretty much everything about the property. Tim was great. Our check-in was not so smooth as we reached a lot before our check-in time (early morning) and the phone number listed was not responding for a good while.

Staff:The staff was extremely polite and super helpful especially the hotel manager. He checked with us regularly to ensure everything was ok. Food : We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was simple delicious homecooked meals Cleanliness: Rooms were neat and clean and very tidy. Room size was decent. Location: 10 on 10 for the location. Everything is like 5 mins away so very easy and comfortable to just walk and explore everything around.

The only downside was the balcony which we could not enjoy as it opened up to a busy street and we had to keep the balcony locked due to the noise.

Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich, hatte mehrmals um saubere Handtücher gebeten, kamen nie . Mußte in der Nacht den Boden wischen da der Kühlschrank abtaute.Auch danach kamen keine Helfer . Erst jetzt habe ich festgestellt, dass die Fotos auf der Webseite, nicht den Tatsachen entspricht. Es sollte am Meer sein, doch es ist mitten in Ponycherry, sehr laut und nicht ansprechend. ich reise oft nach Indien und auch in Pondicherry war ich schon oft, doch das hat mich sehr negativ überrascht. Noch immer ist das Hotel als erstes auf Booking.com, doch stimmen die Daten nicht überein. Da sollte ich Geld zurück bekommen.

Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Matratze/Bett ist sehr bequem. Die Auswahl am Indischen Frühstück Buffet ist eher gering, doch alles sehr lecker. Die Promenade am Meer ist zu Fuss sehr gut erreichbar.

Everything was really good. The food made by Annamal and team was very homely and tasty, and the other staff was quick to respond to every query. The property itself was very well maintained and the location is well connected for one to visit all the spots in Pondicherry. Overall, it was a great stay and gives one a homely and hospitable vibe, which was even better than staying in a five star hotel!

Lovely home made breakfast - idlis , sambhar, chutneys, dosas, eggs to order. Annama and Lakshmi were exceptional.

The breakfast place had bad ventilation. There was no parking. The place was on the busiest street in Pondicherry. And the worst was the treatment we got when we checked out. We were asked to pay 50% advance even before checking in citing high reservations and despite our credit card being on file with booking.com. The balance was collected the moment we checked in. We checked out after breakfast as we had to go to Chennai. We were made to wait 15+ minutes citing we still had to make payment. Even after repeatedly telling them that we had made full payment they made us wait, as the attendant was not in and was on his way to the hotel. The manager Tim was missing. When he reached us, they checked it was for a different room. That experience alone makes me not come back to this place. Besides this the rooms are very poorly ventilated. There are no windows of any kind. It has great proximity to the beaches and hotels close by but the traffic outside is terrible.

Nice experience staying in a heritage home in pondicherry with family for two nights. Would consider staying there again. Place was clean, and staff were friendly. Location is prime. Slight challenge in parking our car at times, but we never had an issue finding a nearby parking spot.

Small inconvenience was the breakfast service. While the food was good, it often was not ready and available at the expected times.

Breakfast was a nice South Indian breakfast served with good beverages to start the day off right! The room was great for my friend and I to share and there was enough space and good common spaces for us to enjoy our stay! The location was perfect for exploring Pondicherry as most places are very walkable from where we were staying. Definitely enjoyed the stay and I would stay here again if I visit Pondicherry once more! Kamalika, the manager, was absolutely fantastic and helped us with places to visit, restaurants to try out and anything else we needed help with, very grateful to her for making our trip as memorable as it was!

It is a guest house so my expectations were well managed but I would recommend bringing your own entertainment system and expressing any needs or requirements with regards to cleanliness, additional supplies, etc with the staff.

Lovely guesthouse with great staff. We were well taken care of by Kamalika and her attentive team. The guesthouse was very clean and well located.

If other guests walk around early morning or speak loudly, because if the architecture, it’s quite audible in the room. Just bring earplugs or get up early - the breakfast is waiting and the city is nicer in the morning anyway.

Room was bigger than expected. Beds were very comfy. Bathroom was Clean and wide.

Breakfast was below average. Limited options and hot stuff like idlis were cold and hard and juice that needs to be cold was warm.

The breakfast was a simple Indian, but good. The location was very nice and the room was very comfortable. There was beautiful historic wooden furniture and the staff was very friendly.

The mattresses of the beds were a bit hard.

Parking on road side also I believe only 2 cars can be parked, if many people comes with car there is no place to park. I believe there is some place as told by property people but it's not around the hotel. Breakfast taste was OK, but very minimum & limited items. No TV, this was unexpected. No indoor game OR gym. Well except 1st point, rest other was not in my need list for this particular trip, hence choosen this stay & it was quite satisfactory.

It is located in the heart of the White Town, everything is walkable at a distance 500m to 1 km.

The rooms have barely any sunlight. No sofa to sit around. The only way you can sit is on the bed. There’s just one very narrow chair and table. The AC was dripping water. You constantly have to keep the lights on in the room even during daytime. The washroom has no exhaust fan.
