We were told we would be called or texted when our room was ready. Even though we arrived early and apparently our room was ready by at least 4, I had to call the front desk at 4:30 to be told I’d have to get back in the long line to officially check in. Staff did eventually agree to meet me at the front and get me through faster. Not sure why I bothered checking in virtually the night before or giving them my number when I arrived at 2:30 if they were just going to ignore it. For the price, I expected better service. The bartended who served us while we were waiting for our room was amazing and friendly. After the concert, there was no room at the bar, so we sat at a table. We were the only 2 people at a table. Instead of telling us that we needed to order at the bar, both servers simply looked at us a few times but ignored us. I guess they don’t care about providing good service since they tend to stay busy being next to the convention center. Lesson learned.

Very disappointed that i receive no perks from Hotels.com or from Bonvoy. No adequate value breakfast. Other Marriotts very good. Bakersfield Marriott needs to keep pool area swept up.

Staff not very hospitable, pool was dirty, lots of don't do this don't do that. No outside food or drinks, but hotel faire was high priced and very mediocre. Will not recommend!

From entrance to exit, I had the best experience with the staff and the restaurant bar and grill. The food was delicious, costly, but delicious.

No clear entry way as one is on the back side and one on the street. Was confused which one to go to as they both are unassuming. Everything else about the property is great.
