Amazing stay, the bed was soooo comfy! Definitely recommend

The hotel and room was very good but the breakfast was very average. It was average in general but also as I am a coeliac the gluten free food was poor - the staff in the dining area didn’t really know what was what apart from the obvious like bacon and potatoes.

Excellent stay. Twin room booked, with 2 very comfortable ‘queen size’ beds. Temperature in room just right. Very clean. Complementary breakfast very nice. View of Clifford Tower from room.
Two very minor niggles-
1. When booking it said you had parking. Later we find out this means a discount on nearby parking.
2. Some nibbles/biscuits in the room would’ve been nice.

Hotel clean, like a budget hotel Premier Inn are more spacious and beds much more comfy, for what we paid I expect much better, breakfast routine very basic, staff need to be much quicker at cleaning empty tables.

Hotel was very clean, not a lot of character but was very close to the shambles and everything we wanted to visit. Breakfast was good, nothing special but fully stocked and a good selecrion.
Beds a little firm and low for us but great that the twin room was two queen sized beds.

Book in time was 3pm I arrived early at around 12.30 and asked if I could leave my luggage they said my room was ready very helpful staff clean large room will definitely stay there again

Perfect location, easy check in, lovely staff. Bar was priced as you’d expect a hotel bar but service was exceptional. Room was very clean, well laid out, view of the river and castle. Would definitely stay again
Remember, this does day parking available, the Shambles car park is not far away at all though

Hotel good but fire alarm after midnight. Staff didn't have a clue what to do. No fire marshalls and no information on what to do / where to go etc. We would have been in a lot of trouble if it had been a real fire not someone having a cigarette in their room or steam from the kettle (told two different stories).

The best thing about this hotel is the reception staff. All were friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. They are a great asset!

We chose Hampton by Hilton on price, knowing that it would be a modern and clean hotel with good facilities and it did not disappoint. Close enough to walk to everywhere we wanted in York although a bit of a schlep from the station with luggage initially. Would stay there again for sure

Very lovely room with a view of Clifford’s Tower. Clean comfy room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Large tv and comfy beds. Fridge added bonus. Plush bathroom occasional drainage odour from the sink. Big shower. Close to al amenities we required. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Great price great stay.

The hotel is very convenient to all attractions. Our room and bath were updated, clean and spacious. The shower does not have a door, which makes things a little difficult. Hotels.com needs to update their information for this hotel, like all other Hampton Inns, a breakfast buffet is included in your room charge!!

The hotel exceeded our expectations being in an ideal location for our visit and the room rates are very competitive & great value. Our queen room was spacious, comfy & clean and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice and self service meant you could have as little or as much as you liked. Finally the staff were friendly, helpful and informative so overall it was a great stay
