Very friendly staff, room was lovely and spacious. Very well situated a stones throw from Kassiopi beaches. Breakfast was really good and changed daily.

The hotel was easy to get to via the Number 1 bus from the airport which stops at the train station. The hotel foyer is large and comfortable. The room was a little on the small side but had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast had a wide choice of items on offer. If we were travelling to Bergamo again I would stay at the Excelsior San Marco Hotel.

We were on 7th floor with the roof terrace above and every evening approx 11pm there was very noisy furniture being moved/drawers slamming. The walls in the room have no sound proofing and our neighbours were extremely loud. Suffice to say not much sleeping was enjoyed due to the noise.

We were lucky enough to get the renovated rooms at the San Marco. The room is modern and comfortable. We had a great view of the Citta Alta as well which was a nice perk. Make sure you the renovated rooms when you stay here as the difference between these and the older original rooms is night and day.

We have gone to Bergamo for a break on several occasions but this was the first stay at the Excelsior San Marco. Would not hesitate to stay again as room, staff and breakfast were all first class.

This was our first visit to Bergamo but it won’t be our last. The hotel is a five minute walk to the funicular for the old city which is stunning. We were fortunate with the weather but the views from Rocca (off the tourist route a bit) are wonderful. Hotel breakfast first class, excellent, helpful staff and clean facilities. We loved it.

A little pricey for an overnight stay. Walkable and safe area. Clean and comfortable!

Not a 4 star hotel. And NOT Adult Only, as advertised on British booking sites. The hotel is currently under refurbishment and we requested a twin room, we were in an older room which was very dated but preference was twin room over a newer room with a double so we were fine with this. When we arrived to our room, the chair fabric was torn and there was an iron burn mark on the carpet. There was an adjoining door and we could hear the people next door arguing and going to the toilet. At breakfast we realised it was indeed family friendly. One of us were bitten by a suspected poisonous spider in bed, three bites which resulted in a trip to the pharmacy, some antibiotic cream, and a second trip to the GP for more medication when we got home. Hotel staff apologised but because we were leaving the same day they weren't too concerned. Said they would fumigate for the next person. Reception staff friendly enough, bar staff super kind & the breakfast was good, although not as peaceful as we’d have liked! Good location to walk to / get the feniculore to the Citta Alta but a 15/20min walk from the atmosphere of the Citta Bassa. View from the room made the trip, despite us being the only balcony on the 7th floor without chairs to enjoy it.
