Don’t take highest 309 though it’s a gravel road for about 10 miles

What a fabulous place to stay. The location was excellent, stunning views. The apartment was very clean, with a comfortable bed and had everything I required. Wonderful helpful hosts too.
Would highly recommend and will be back to stay again.

We had a great stay at Esplanade Apartments, was a shame it was only for 1 night. Great apartment with everything we needed. Terry and Deborah were great and allowed us to check in early with our infant for he could sleep which was awesome. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Whitianga.

Amazing location right next to the playground and the ferry. Wonderful apartment with all the facilities that we wanted. Knowledgable and friendly staff.

Only negative was the hot tub could do with some more regular cleaning and the pool was a bit cold.

Great stay for a family with young kids, self contain apartment. Restaurants, cafe and kids play area are walking distance.
It is clean, well presented. However there is no daily housekeeping, not a big issue but Something to keep in mind.

This is Whitianga’s premier accommodation. The apartments are spacious and very comfortable, and guest services are remarkable. They make you feel right at home. Only one advisory for prospective guests is that there’s no air con or heat pump in the room. If you’re not accustomed to NZ summer humidity or winter dampness, then realise that the accommodation may not offer indoor climate control.
