We stayed here as part of a longer stay in Japan. The check in process was smooth. Upon arrival, our luggage was already delivered and sent straight to our room. Front desk staff speaks pretty good English. We LOVE that the washing machine wash and heat at the same time. It's located in the room so free of service. You can use the detergent provided, but we like to use our own. You throw it in and it washed and dry on its own. Takes around 4 hours though because we have thick clothes. Maybe it would be shorter if we know how to use the machine, but we didn't ask for help. LOL. Room was super clean. Breakfast was great. Location is closed to the train station and convenience store. We love it so much we would like to stay at another Tokyu Stay at another city next time.

Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Kyoto. We were visiting Japan for the first time with our 9 month old son and the stay couldn’t have been better.
Our room had a microwave and washing machine which is super convenient when travelling with kids. Room was also quite large for Japan and the free coffee was a great bonus.

We love the room, the ambiance of the hotel. But unfortunately its really hard when u beed help from front desk receptionist. You need go to main wings building and the phone wasn’t connect to receptionist. They didnt check and fill up the bath soap even we already put the sign and take iut the bottle from bathroom.

Fantastic stay! It was located nearby everything, but on a silent street. You can walk in the small streets with local shops or go to the bigger shopping areas, all by walking. Metro and bus nearby. Staff were very nice and the room clean and comfortable! I can recommend this hotel!

Great place in an easily accessible location only a few stops from the main train station in Kyoto. Towels changed on request, but no room cleaning is different than we were used to. Free coffee and water via machines in lobby were great, along with 7/11 just a few steps from the hotel.

The location is very central with a 7/11 less than a minute away and access to main train/subway line. 1hr away from Universal, 1hr away from Nara, 30mins away from Fushimi Inari and similar transit times to other places. Shopping district a walkable distance and Nishiki market about 10mins walk. Hotel itself is calm and clean and well maintained. Staff always available and free coffee/iced coffee at the entrance.

The staff were all polite and helpful. Hotel and rooms were very clean and they also provided customers with daily essentials. Very well organized and considerate of travelers. I definitely recommend it.

Loved this place, easily was the best of the 3 hotels I stayed in on my 1st trip to Japan. Spacious room, in a safe and quiet area of Kyoto with good proximity to convenience stores and public transportation. Easy to find on a map, fair nightly price, kind/courteous staff - this place has the works. Looking forward to a future stay at Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sanjo-Karasuma.

We booked two ground floor rooms in the annex building. On the last night we came in and the room smelled awful. Dead rodent or musty water damage? Too late to call and ask for a new room. Both rooms had rug stains, but otherwise clean.
