Hotel Mayis is well situated close to all in walking distance. The rooms are small, beds are comfy, no safe or mini fridge, tv is small good channels, wifi and good AC. This hotel is great as a long stay or just a few days. The staff was always available and courteous, helpful and friendly.

Exterior is deceiving. But looks newly remodeled. Quiet, private. Waiting distance to main town square. Many restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended. Staff polite and helpful.

Great spot down from the city center. Room was clean. Even though was in a balcony room didn’t have too much street noise. Great stay!

Great service/staff. Great walkable location close to centro but not on busy street so it was quiet, good AC, decent wifi. Bathroom was tiny and smelled like mildew or bad pipes so the smell went into the room which wasnt pleasant.

The room that I stayed in was very small and didn't have a mini fridge, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. The property was well taken care of and in a great location.

Nice hotel, newer beds which are confortable. A bit noisy because it's downtown but nothing that we couldn't live with.

Clean and nice view of city with parking included; a few blocks from zocalo and Templo de Santo Domingo. Staff was friendly and helpful. Credit card machine was not working so had to pay cash.

The hotel is safe and clean, the area is safe too with lots of police around, so when your walking to the shops, restaurants or just enjoying the view you feel safe.

If you just need a place to sleep, shower and take a break from walking around beautiful Oaxaca, Hotel Mayis fits the bill. Rooms are a walk up to second floor facing the street. Noise wasn't a problem for us. Rooms are clean and basic. As a Westerner used to a lot of comfort, bed was a bit hard for me but for 3 nights it was fine. Three of us stayed in a 2 queen room and had plenty of space. This hotel is very small and doesn't have any other amenities but coffee, food, etc. are all close by. Front desk staff was very friendly.

Oaxaca is a great place with lots of history and great food. The hotel was in a great location near downtown and the service was very good.
