The inn was wonderful. The three-course breakfast was the best that I've ever had at any hotel. The owner was very friendly and talked us about their experience around the world. Every room in the hotel is decorated with beautiful paintings and artworks from all over the world. The garden is peaceful and beautiful. We had a great experience.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful environment, nicely decorated and kept. Very good breakfast. Owners (husband and wife) are extremely helpful and very interesting individuals. I had a very enjoyable one night stay and will return.

Fabulous place. Had an amazing stay. The Inn Keepers were great, breakfast was tasty and the view was gorgeous!! Definitely plan on coming back in the Spring.

We had the best time at the Swanendele Inn! More like a bed a breakfast, we so enjoyed meeting the owners Gerry and Vicki who treated us like family. The property is very large and the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Super soft towels, comfortable bed, large balcony, super hot shower with tons of water pressure and central air conditioning! We really enjoyed breakfast which is served in a breakfast room overlooking the water with made to order eggs, homemade cinnamon and apple cake, fresh fruit and delicious coffee and juice. This area of Southern Maryland has some great new restaurants, tons of fishing options and St. Mary’s College is about 8 minutes away.
The area around the Inn was so lush and beautiful, there is also a gorgeous public park with tennis courts and basketball courts less than 8 minutes away.
We fell in love with the Swanendale Inn and the area and can’t wait to come back. Splurge on the larger rooms, we loved the Lord Calvert which has a jacuzzi tub for two. So nice to have an elevator too. The rooms look just like the pictures.

What an amazing hotel! The location is perfect, the owners so so friendly. The staff so efficient and professional. The breakfast was the best. Definitely a 5 star hotel.
