Very nice property. The Villa room we had was extremely large and comfortable. Breakfast was very sufficient. They offered shuttle service into and out of town which was very reliable and efficient.

Magnificent property and grounds! Lovely garden and pool. We really enjoyed our short stay here - relaxing, luxurious, inviting - and would have enjoyed staying much longer. Very convenient and great staff. Highly recommended.

Stunning grounds!!! Lovely mountain views from the pools. Beautiful big room with four-poster bed, and a large bathroom with lavender toiletries. Excellent service. The only thing I think needs to be addressed is the breakfast. On our first morning, it was full to the brim with delicious things – but on the second morning, there was about 30% the amount of things as the previous day, including leftover pastries and cheeses which didn’t look good. Would also have loved to be helped with our many bags at departure time. But all in all, this was an incredible stay.

Beautiful setting but the rooms are dates for the 5 star rating and price. Great breakfast though and (I can imagine) a good spot for families or groups visiting the winelands.

We had a wonderful stay at the Franschhoek Country House and Villas this January. First off, as a couple visiting Franschhoek on holiday, with plenty of food and wine tasting on the agenda, we found the location perfect. It is close to the amenities of the centre of Franschhoek (as well as a couple of the best wineries in the area) but secluded enough to feel as though you are truly in the countryside. Second, the accommodation was superb. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a villa suite and it was fantastic on all fronts, with some beautiful views. Third, the service we received was also top-notch, with all the staff contributing to making our stay a good one. We also very much enjoyed eating at the Monneaux Restaurant, which is great for a lighter meal (much needed after sampling so much of the food and wine in the area during the day). We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Franschhoek Country House and Villas again.
