Justin and his staff were absolutely amazing. The guesthouse is so quaint and in the most perfect part of town close to Main Street and the wineries. Only wish we could have stayed in Franschoek longer! Will definitely be back and would recommend this guesthouse to anyone going!! Yummy breakfast and great tips from the staff. They were really the best part about our stay!

The room was gorgeous and expansive with a wonderful bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and location perfect for exploring the quaint little town. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. Beautiful!

Lovely character hotel with welcoming staff. We had 2 nights there you could probably do with 3 nights if you do the wine tram tour and also want to have a good look around franschhoek.

Lovely Guest House with large beautifully furnished rooms. Very nice garden with swimming pool. The staff are wonderful and bend over backwards to make your stay as perfect as possible. They are all extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and days out to vineyards etc. Justin is a wonderful host and we are hoping to come back and visit again.

We loved every aspect of our stay from the room to the grounds and great staff. The location was great - walk anywhere in town but one block off the Main Street so a little quieter. We would definitely come back.

We got a really warm welcome from Justin and Anna and things just went on from there for our 3 night stay . Lovely room , beautiful gardens , great breakfasts and always friendly help on hand to help make the most of our time in Franschhoek. Justin organised all our dinner bookings and we therefore went to some really nice and hard to get places ( especially Foliage). Staying at Avondrood was great choice and we just loved Franschhoek with its stylish charm , fantastic vinyards and lots to see and do. Thanks Justin , Anna and all the team at Avondrood.

We are seasoned travellers and it takes a bit to impress us - but we were certainly impressed in Avondrood. Everything about it is absolutely perfect, from super convenient location walking distance to the centre with numerous restaurants and hop-on point for the winery tram tour, through private parking, and a lovely room with an absolutely gorgeous bath (after a month of travels and just showers, it was truly indulging to jump in!). But it is the staff that really stand out - from the moment of our arrival Anna and Justin could not be any more helpful, be it booking a restaurant, advising on activities in the area, or arranging a last minute massage (I was desperate with pain in my neck/shoulder, and it was not easy to find a slot on such a short notice that wouldn't ruin our plans for the day - but Justin managed to - thank you!). You truly feel that you're a treasured guest, and that they take pride in taking good care of you. Oh, and let's not forget the absolutely fantastic breakfast - with a great choice of high quality items, hot and cold, and of course everything served with a smile. We stayed 2 nights but we loved it so much (including the beautiful area) that we'd recommend staying a bit longer if you can. If we're ever back in the area, we'd definitely stay in Avondrood again.
