1. I booked a smoking room by mistake so i requested the front desk to change it to a non-smoking room and will just pay the additional amount if any. He told me all rooms are fully booked. I showed him the app with a few non smoking rooms still available. He than told me to call Hotels.ca and talk to them not him. 2. I requested an additional pillow in the middle of the night and was simply told 'NO' I requested extra pillows the second night and thank Godness the clerk is a new guy and gave me my request!

The rooms are kept very clean and comfortable, and the service staff are great. The lobby and other public areas could use a little sprucing up, but this is generally a very nice place to stay.

Very comfortable and perfect location close to Hyogo station, making central Kobe close. A little old decor, but has everything you need.

Weak air conditioning, carpet is badly stained, bed makes me itch. Great view. No instructions for VOD.

The Luminous hotel is similar to many other business hotels in Japan. But the Luminous' style, aesthetic, and cleanliness is superior. The staff were professional and helpful. My room was spotless and decently sized. The hotel isn't located in downtown Kobe Sannoniya, but the hotel's area itself has enough restaurants to keep you satisfied. This hotel is definitely worth a stay if you don't mind staying out of Sannoniya.

We stayed at the Kobe Luminous hotel May 18-20, 2018. It is an older modern and clean hotel, but the carpets in the elevators and our room should be replaced. I paid for a compact room but it had a sofa, a long window counter, and unexpected spaciousness. The wifi and beds were good. It is a 4 minute walk from the Hyogo subway station. A food market and a few restaurants are nearby. I can recommend this hotel.

Had to take the train to Sannomiya to connect to other places hence cost more in transportation. Also Hyogo did not have a large selection of restaurants and shopping. Next time we will stay in Sannomiya.

Great location, onlt draw back was the parking was hard to see and the hitel is on a one way streets. Pakrking is at the front of the hotel.

They don't do the best cleaning job and they tend to move your stuff. There isn't much to do in the area so don't expect convenient sight seeing. Check-in is at 2pm, not 24/7, so don't come if that was what drew you here (it was the only reason we decided to stay and caused a big inconvenience when they told us). The door to the closet in our room actually fell off the second we opened it, it obviously had come unhinged a long time ago and they never fixed it. The room is a good size for what you're paying but the bedding smells like smoke even in the non-smoking rooms.
