My 2 teenagers & myself enjoyed our stay in Svarga Hotel. It’s a big hotel spread out over some inclines, which needed several steps to get around the different areas of the hotel. The views from the restaurant where we had our breakfast were spectacular. Excellent breakfast with a good mix of local & western cuisine. However I would advise to go early for dinner, as we went around 2210 and we were told no further orders could be taken as the restaurant ran out of ingredients! The last orders at the restaurant was supposed to be at 2230 and unfortunately there was no room service at night. Location is good - easy to get around, the hotel arranged Bluebird Taxis which used meter and much cheaper than Grab for areas around Senggi. There was an excellent Express Laundry 10 minutes walk away who picked up laundry and delivered at the time you wanted. To plan local trips around, the hotel recommended Mr Ibrahim - who live nearby and would come to the hotel to show you options. He was very good, and also open to negotiating the price. The hotel gardens were beautiful and well maintained, but the hotel itself did look a little tired and could do with a ‘facelift’ However except for this issue, everything else made our overall experience good.

As said previously the hotel had a great ambiance service a bit slow also even when not busy. Breakfast didn’t really cater for western tourists. Also no alcohol not mentioned in any literature.

Good things; - staff mostly tried their best, were polite and apologetic. - lots of options for breakfast - they moved our room - new loft smells amazing, honestly this was our best compliment we could offer. Bad things; - didn’t receive a welcome drink as advertised. - restaurant is supposed to be open all day but when we arrived at 12:15, no one was around for 45 minutes, and we didn’t get food until 13:45. - we expected bugs, but our room was FULL of ants, three nests. They moved us, but the other room was just as bad. - we had no water in our new room for a FULL DAY. we called reception many times but they just kept telling us it was maintenance. We weren’t informed of this and were offered no compensation. We couldn’t shower, use the sink or flush the toilet from 8am until 8pm. We called AGAIN at around 2pm and they said it would be fixed in 10 minutes. Eventually at around 8pm they sent someone to fix the problem in our room. The next morning the water was pouring out black. - every time we used the restaurant, they didn’t know what they had on their own menu. Everything we ordered they said ok and then would call back and say it’s unavailable. But then they would change their minds. It was very confusing and took a very long time. We often had to wait an hour just to get food. Supposed to be a four star hotel, but did not live up to standard.

All good. Except for one thing. Aircond is not cold enough to support the big room. I took adma with pool and i think it took forever to cool the room.

The property looks like the listing. Clean, nice staff, good breakfast, amazing pool. It is not in a walkable distance and you need a driver because there is no parking on the property. It will need to have maintenance on a regular basis, otherwise it will not age well… Overall good deal.

However, we did come when the lift was in maintenance so it was a bit of a hike to our room. I also wish that they can improve on maintaining the structures (rooftop area etc.) and facilities a bit better as the hotel is very beautiful. the breakfast is nice too. Thank you Svarga Hotel!

The common were nice, but the rooms were very underwhelming. Not super clean and the AC barely worked. Breakfast was below average. Overall, really not as nice as on the pictures from the listing

Highly recommended. Stayed in pool suite and asked for a private one and got what I asked for. Really sweet and welcoming staff.

Room service poor. A few requests but not done. Lift not working, had to climb 5 storeys to get to our breakfast for 4 days and to the pool.

I really dispointed n really regret book this hotel,i book neime pool privtae but they give me adna pool private which is cheaper than neima,room is bad,this is the last i book this hotel

Unfortunately we found the room very sparse and uncomfortable - no place to relax unless you sat on the bed. The pool was uninviting as you are right by the restaurant - no umbrellas. Grounds did not provide any areas to relax in. On top of that the nearby mosque would broadcast loudly {chants} several times a day ! We left two days early sacrificing our money as it was that uncomfortable. Staff were friendly but that did not make up for for the rest !

Nice and friendly personel. Unique architecture. If we go here again, we would choose a room with a private pool. The water pipes did not peeform well and wasnt fixed when we asked about it. Also, despite good overall service, it was slow and we had to ask several times for cleaning and fresh towels. Food quality could be improved.

A proper shower (wall hanging showerhead) would make shower easier. Water pressure needed for a refreshing shower after a long hot day out.
