Smart rooms and an excellent gluten free menu

This is a beautifully refurbished building, quality decor throughout, food was excellent and we had attentive service from all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They accommodated the late amendment to our booking and we were made to feel very welcome. Would definitely return again.

It’s a nice inn in a small quiet village with beautiful views if you explore the area. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. If you are an American who will not be driving, no Uber coverage. We found the hard way. I suggest to add it in the description about no Uber coverage but there is a taxi which needs to be pre-booked, it can get busy. We tried to call a taxi, we were told by the taxi company that they will not be able to pick us up from the hotel until 4 hours later. It’s a nice place, just need to know those details. We didn’t get much help from the reception about getting a taxi or about Uber.

Nicely renovated historic property, but there is no air conditioning and the windows in our room were painted shut. A hot, stuffy room is just not pleasant.

Excellent in every way, again

Lovely stay at The Ashford Arms. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely 💚 Great place to stay when visiting the Peak District.

Perfect overnight stay. Lovely food, relaxing atmosphere and great service. Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious.

Very cozy designed spaces with attention to detail. Lovely comfortable bed with great shower ! Good restaurant for dinner and lovely breakfast. A very pleasant stay!

This is a very nice little hotel in a great location for activities in the Peaks. Hotel is well decorated and looks recently refurbished. Room was comfy and well decked out although the specific one we had was a little noisy due to the proximity to the kitchen cooling units outside. We had a 3 course meal with drinks and breakfast; the food was excellent throughout. They could do with one extra member of staff as people seemed to be working the front desk, dining, bar etc, all at the same time, even on a quiet Sunday morning. Nothing detracted, however, and it was a really pleasant overnight stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel combines the charm of an old building with the quality of experience you would expect from a modern hotel. Attention has clearly been paid to delivering a high quality customer experience. From the staff who couldn’t do enough for you and always had a smile on their faces, to the stunning food, the beautiful and comfortable rooms and the picture perfect location, this hotel is an absolute gem. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location with helpful and pleasant staff. Had an evening meal which was very good as was the breakfast. Only criticism was the size of the room which was compact and thin towels in need of replacing. Neither of which would prevent me from returning or recommending it to others.
