We booked two nights.When we arrived we saw that this is more a motel that a hotel! You are so close from the road and without double glazing, you hear everything (road, people talking, parking or leaving...)They put a smoking area in the back of the hotel, so you hear people smoking, talking. Inside the room it’s dark, you need to open the light permanently.In the morning we were awake by peolpe leaving with their car at 6am the noise was very strong.This was already annoying but then painter workers came just in front of our room to do some work at 7:45am and they were laughing, smoking, and were doing some works noises.We ask them to be quite but they kept making noise putting on music and singing! Even with the TV on we still hear them! We wondered if they were not doing it on purpose! Réception told us that it was completly normal to have some work done at 8am! We asked for another room more quite and without works, they proposed us another room which was of a lower range than what we had paid for. They told us that if we wanted less noise from the 6 peoples working we should ask them directly! This is unbelievable and unacceptable!Then they told us that if we were not happy with that we could leave before 10am, without refund.They were very agressive with my husband it made us very uncomfortable and scared so we left.You cannot expect that from a hotel, even more when it’s by Heritage!And that’s not all,hair dryer doesn’t work, flyes in room, mold on the shower, no AC..

Great location good parking but 4 floors to walk up. $20 per day was really high for the area. Suite had been totally updated.

Really well positioned. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Many unexpected ‘treats’ e.g. fresh coffe, lovely toiletries, hairdryer, WiFi etc. Apartment very roomy and comfortable.

I liked the spaciousness of the room and the proximity to the CBD.

This was a last minute reservation. Just my daughter and I staying for one night. The main bedroom is situated at the front of the house on The Terrace, the road was noisy and there wasn't any insulation to help cut down the noise. The window rattled too as it didn't shut properly. Her bedroom is situated in the middle of the apartment, but she still heard people sing until mignight The basin tap was leaking and there was also a leak under the bath/shower. Overall expensive for the lack of finesse and old fittings

Having paid over $200 for a room we were bitterly disappointed with our accommodation. Upon climbing to upper/roof level to get to our apartment we noticed straight away it was not very clean. Upon entering the apartment we noticed the room was outdated, dirty and in need of some repair. The Curtains were dirty, moldy, fraying and the curtain rail broke when we went to close them. One window was not installed properly leaving a big gap, the lamp shades were worn and coming apart, the kitchen needed a very good clean and the rangehood light was broken. The hot water in the kitchen was pretty much non-existent and we ran out of hot water in the shower. When we complained we were told it was fine and given a bottle of wine. Nice gesture! The bathroom was dirty, there was a great gap between the wall and the bathtub and the appliances were very old. Nothing to write home about, that's for sure!

These are apartments are refurbished up to 100 year old wooden villas up on the terrace with an old-world charm and a bit of a walk up to the Terrace adjacent to the CBD. They are spacious, clean, and reasonably handy. However if you decide on them then make sure you get an apartment thats at the back. I had one fronting on the street and the street lights lit up the room. I didn't get enough sleep for the first couple of nights until I went out and purchased some eye shades. Terrible experience. Hotel wants to think about putting in some better block out curtains. I was forced into this choice because it was a late booking and all the main hotels in the CBD were full. My first choice remains to stay at the main hotels in future - Intercontinental, James Cook, Novotel etc. I was also not that impressed with wotif. I booked on wotif.com from NZ, using a NZ c/c, and was quoted what I thought was NZD. It didn't say to the contrary. However I was disappointed to be billed instead in AUD incurring presumably foreign exchange transaction costs that would be unnecessary if the computer system was improved to figure out from the IP address and c/c that I was using to do the booking were both in NZ for a NZ hotel and not based in Australia at all.
