After you return, unwind on the rooftop terrace or sip a drink in the garden, and don't forget about the sun loungers and pool umbrellas. When you come inside, connect to the free WiFi or get cozy in front of the flat-screen TV (pay movies available).
As you settle into this 2-bedroom rental, you'll find a living room, hypo-allergenic bedding, a BBQ grill, and a safe. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer and towels. Prepare a home-cooked meal in the kitchen, complete with a stovetop, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher, as well as an espresso maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. Our holiday started off great with a beautiful sunset and effortless checkin. The unit is beautiful with everything one could need. The location is perfect as it is close to shops and restaurants.
We specifically booked this unit, as we have done before, due it being advertised as PET FRIENDLY - the disclaimer clearly indicated pets stay for free.
Our dogs barked at the neighbour’s dog - as dogs do - which resulted in a complaint to security and the agent. We were informed that pets are not allowed, estate rules, and we should vacate the unit. No solutions or alternatives offered, no apologies, nor any ownership taken for the misrepresentation of the listing.
We were not allowed to stay there with our pets, regardless of the fact that the unit was advertised as pet friendly. Before we were packed up to leave the listing disclaimer was changed to no pets allowed.
Utterly disappointed in the agency and the manner in which this was handled.
This misrepresentation left a sour aftertaste.

We had a wonderful stay at this house..It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very secure on the Island. We will stay longer next time.

We visited Knysna from the UK for a 4 week break to visit family and one of our stops was the Thesen Island Holiday House. I have stayed at many places through my travels and can say with confidence that Estelle gave us world class service and the stay was unforgettable. The house is immaculate and in pristine condition.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a hassle free holiday in one of the best locations in Knysna to book at Thesen Island Holiday House. Estelle will go out of her way to ensure everything is perfect and exceed your expectations!
