Unfortunately due to Covid this hotel has needed to close down their rooftop bar and restaurant. No fault of the hotels, but covid has really hit this once thriving town. Unfortunately there is nothing in this town. Its a little bit of a ghost town and sad to see so many hostels, hotels, homestays etc all closed down. The hotel was a little eery at night due to it being so big and only two other guests.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel is located in the city center, so you can reach everything very easily.

There were quite a lot of areas for improvement during our stay. Part of ceiling were with mold due to running water, room itself was quite dirty (dust on floor, big stains on sheets, dirty windows), malfunction in toilet flushing, not enough hot water even for 1 person to take a quick shower, nobody has changed our towels during 2 nights stay, while humidity in the room was quite high and none of the towels could dry themselves. Would not recommend to choose this hotel.

Excellent, spacious room, as you can see in the pictures. Unfortunately, there is no picture of the view from the balcony, facing the mountains: magnificent. There is an elevator. Almost everything essential: the departure point for the boats to the Phong Nha cave (you don't need an organized tour here, you buy the ticket and that's it, they will take you there), shops and two excellent restaurants, just opposite: in Bamboo they serve both Western and Vietnamese food, these are a little it's being modified, but it's excellent, on the other hand, I recommend trying the beef Pho (soup) made in the local style at the local restaurant to the left of it. Its seasoning is special. The only problem with Phong Nha is if you come to Dong Hoi by train or bus: the taxi drivers are real mountain robbers. Try to choose a bus that takes you directly to Phong Nha.

Wonderful hotel. Highly recommended. Friendly staff, clean room, great location. The best part is the view, breathtaking never gets old. I was on the 6 floor, it was beautiful. Another plus is the restaurant and Bar Momma D’s on the roof. Chill welcoming vibes with yummy tasty food. If it wasn’t for the caves I wouldn’t leave the hotel ;) Would come again for sure.

Excellent choice to stay when traveling in Phong Nha. I had a large room with balcony and a superb view for such a good price. Also breakfast included. On the rooftop you can find "Momma D" - a bar with great atmosphere. She is a wonderful host and the staff were friendly and nice.

They let us check in at 4am when our overnight bus from Hanoi arrived, the breakfast was really great to have especially since there isn't that many options in the area, the hot water was hot, wifi was decent and the hotel manager, Denise was excellent and super helpful at giving advice for great things to do around the area. She really made a huge difference for recommending things to do on the one day we had free. We ended up renting motorbikes down the road for 100K each and hit all the places she told us about.

Money exchange rate is not great but that is to be expected. The massage place that is recommended next door is mediocre and avoid getting your nails done there, they absolutely butcher it, Magic Hands was a bit of a walk away but the best massages we have had our entire Vietnam trip.
