Location and the people are fantastic

Perfect location right at the SkyTrain Station Metrotown for day trips to Vancouver downtown, Stanleyx park etc. Staff very freindly and helpful. Spacious rooms with functional facilities.

Breakfast selection and organisation needs to be improved. Although I didn't expect too much from a continental breakfast in a business hotel, the breakfast at HI Express Metrotown is not worth the money. Poor selection of food, no microwave to heaten up milk, etc. Besides, only single-use plastic & wooden cutlery is used. The waste management concept is confusing (2x2 bins for recyclable and landfill waste with not up-to-date photographic description). Consequence: at the end of the breakfast everey bin contains the same waste items...

Lovely staff- all very welcoming and helpful.

Swimming pool didn’t seem very clean. The breakfast area was too small for the number of people and the disposable cutlery and plates at breakfast didn’t seem environmentally conscious.

The room was neat and tidy when we entered, and we had a decent view of the area surrounding our room. Plus, AC kept everything nice and cool.

The room we checked into was directly facing a Skytrain railway, so there was some difficulty sleeping throughout the night.

Love everything, the helpful and friendly staffs, the clean and comfortable room, and strategic location. Me n my husband got stomach flu on the day we arrieved..thank God we recovered quickly after a full day rest at the hotel where we didnt have to worry of where to order foods for the rest of our fam cos the hotel connected to a big mall, metrotown mall so they could just easly go there to buy food and occupied themselves in the mall..very recomended hotel✌️✌️

Clean, bright and functional. The bed was super comfortable. Love the little extras and conveniences - fridge with free bottled water, electrical outlets in just the right spot for charging gadgets, sanitary plastic covered remote, platform for luggage... Breakfast and parking included and great location for shopping and restaurants. The staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Location was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and staff was amazing. Rho was very kind , helpful and pleasant. She gave us tips on places to see.

Nothing.

I was at the hotel for both a work event, and to stay at during the event. All of the staff were exceptional and polite. There were many times where I would pass a hotel staff from various different departments in the halls, and they would treat me and asked me how my day was an even have a couple short, pleasant words. I don’t see this everywhere. I think this is awesome. I also had some trouble after checking out where a key broke off in a padlock that was securing my motorcycle. I was heading out for a long drive back to Penticton and wasn’t able to find a professional service to come cut the lock for me in a timely manner . The maintenance staff at the hotel, in my opinion, went over, and above, to help me to resolve the issue. The maintenance person in particular that helped out was amazing, and appeared to be happy to help even though I assume it was taking him away from other important things he needed to do. Well done. It’s my second time at this hotel, and I will definitely come back.

Service, staff and accessible to all transportation

Hoping there is a free netflix to all rooms. It makes guest more comfortable and exciting not boring.

I asked if it was possible for them to leave a note for my Wife's birthday wishing her a happy birthday and a little chocolate, and they left a whole complementary treat basket, it was very sweet. Thank you!

Breakfast was good. The staff were helpful.

Because of the location, one could not unload at the front door — did not see signage for instructions to unload/load and enter hotel from the garage.

Was a quick stay for our family but was a great stay, good service, very clean and nice modern accommodating rooms. Roof top pool was a lovely accommodation for the kids as well.

Exceptional location, attached to a mall and right across the street from the metro. Staff was incredible made you feel extremely welcomed and were very helpful.
