bugs on the floor, had to ask to change rooms and still had bugs…. host said “those bugs are harmless” had outdated futon furniture, would not stay here again

The only downside of our stay was having a hard time getting hot water to take a shower. Everything else was perfect.

This was a cottage so breakfast was up to us to supply for ourselves. It was large enough to move around in. It was also nice to be able to do things on our own time line. It was clean and a good size for two people. We did cut our stay short by two nights and the owner was very accommodating about this.
This place is really old and run down. Needs a complete update. It is a cottage but a bit of modernization and paint would go a long way. My husband repaired the loose door knob so it was secure for us as the safety chain was broken. The inside was clean but some things were obviously not used in quite a while by the look of them. Very very small shower and old. It has potential that needs to be addressed.

The view was nice, grounds were well kept .
When I was searching for a place to stay, I put in a 2 bedroom in the search bar . It was only a 1 bedroom with a hide-a-bed in the living room, a bit deceiving .

The location was great. It was set in the middle of Ingonish, so you could travel to locations from either direction.
It was very clean.
There was a smell (outside), maybe septic. very off-putting.
The cottages were not stand alone buildings ( I thought they were from pictures,my bad), so you could hear your neighbor stomping around most of the evening.

The accommodation is a bit old and in need of a refurb and although smoking isn't alllowed it smelled of cannabis.
The location , space and price were perfect for our little group. We loved having the separate kitchen and living space.

The reception was warm and the area is beautiful.
There were hairs in the bed, which means that the sheets and other bed linen were not changed!!! We felt disgusted.

Great view, cute cottage, used the BBQ and kitchen.
As we were a family, we pulled out the sofa bed, which provided an uncomfortable night for those who had to sleep on the thin, metal springy mattress with cross bars in their backs. If a 4 person sleeping arrangement is advertised, it needs to provide a good night's sleep for all four. Water pressure and temperature were severely impacted when the attached cottage happened to use their shower at the same time.

It was a place to sleep. Tv didn’t work. Beds were uncomfortable, the barbecue caught fire and ruined our steaks and hotdogs. (Barbecue was fun of grease in the bottom and the burners didn’t work very good. Toaster was full of crumbs I had to clean it out before using it. Etc.
There wasn’t an ocean view.
