The rooftop was soo wonderful to have right there! The room was no frills, smaller than the pictures made it out to be but had everything we needed and was clean. The location is also fantastic being so close to the Subway and right in SoHo. Its Also a block away from Russ and Daughters!

We had to reset the AC a few times, and the concierge kept odd hours, so we often had to call them instead. The hallway smelled really strongly of weed.

The staff was friendly, especially Jasmine who checked us in. The location is great for its access to subway lines and for walking to shop in the surrounding neighborhoods.

I understand that this was a budget hotel but I would spend my money somewhere else next time. Our keypad for our room door was not working on several occasions (one being past 11:00 PM when we were desperately wanting to sleep). On one instance, the deadbolt on the electric keypad lock system was stuck while the door was open and we were unable to leave our room for over an hour as we did not want to leave the hotel with our room door open. The AC in our room was also not working and a hot day made our room temperature over 83F. The AC wasn't fixed until over 30 hours later which made for a difficult night's sleep. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable. In addition, the Wifi was very, very poor so much so that I used my cellular data and hotspot to use my devices. The staff had good intentions and were kind but the management of the maintenance of the rooms needs serious work.

Just like on the pictures, had our own bathroom, everything was clean, location is excellent. Everything we needed (towels, coffee etc) was available on the c floor. Rooftop is cherry on top amazing!

Bit worn down, bathroom was a bit old, could use some new furniture like chair and more storage space but for the price excellent.

The location was perfect. We didn't plan to spend much time in the room, so the no frills stay was fine by us.

I wish there was room for another chair.

Location is amazing, I couldn't be happier! area felt safe, near really cool shops, bars and restaurant and easy to walk everywhere! I will absolutely recommend it for this reason. Very quiet room and big enough for two people, a big window with natural light, a small desk and comfortable bed and good equipt bathroom. Roof terrace is amazing, really cool views of the city. and if you want to bring food from outside you can eat there or in the downstrais kitchen.

Before you book it, have in mind is more of a hostel not an hotel. You should know they don't do room service, so we had the same bedsheets and towels for a week. You have to empty the bin yourself and keep the room tidy, so it feels like an hostel experience. The reception is only open for some time during the day, but if you have any problem in the afternoon/evening there is nobody to help as is a kind of self-service hotel. I found out this during my stay and no before, so that was very confusing as they gave us the wrong room, then they changed the code of our room and my phone didn't work and that was little stressful until we managed to get a new code etc. There is a computer downstairs and I urgently needed to send a document but the computer didn't work and nobody could help.

The location is the best part.

The price was way more expensive than what it should’ve been for the value.
