nothing, I’ve stated this property for the past 30 years and I have watched it disintegrate. it used to be a nice clean place to stay for a reasonable price. The prices were plated for the graduation weekend. It was not worth $160 that I spent but I had to attend a funeral. The room smelled of mildew and I had to ask someone to come in with air freshener. I paid an upgrade fee on Booking.com for a sitting area. The upgrade in the sitting area was nothing but a chair in the corner, I really hated to stay at this place, but there was no other rooms available in town. I will try to stay here is less as possible. This is a dire emergency, which this was.

convenient location to Walmart and restaurants it’s nice and clean, staff was very friendly

the hallways smelled like something rotten but the lobby and rooms didn’t, the beds for me was way to soft, and the “breakfast” is just cereal apple, banana, mini honey buns, and nutty butter bars, I had to ask several time for towels and needed up having to go to housekeeping door to get them.

bed had a rather large dip/ crater in it making it hard to get to sleep. the hotel didn’t supply conditioner, instead they gave a “conditioning shampoo”

The room and the entrance were clean and the staff were nice and easy to deal with.

The bathroom had some issues. It needed a few repairs. The bathroom vanity had some large chips in it and the sink is stained. There were some grout issues around the tub as well. The room took literally all night to cool down, it was very hot.

It was homecoming weekend at Southern Illinois University, so I suspect there was quite a bit of demand for hotel rooms. The Super 8 seemed to be the best deal for the price at that moment. The hotel was well located for my purposes.

I had read a review about the breakfast, so I wasn't really surprised. On offer were two cold cereals with milk, bananas and apples, Honey Buns and one other pre-packaged item (brownies perhaps?), coffee, and that was that. The juice machine was broken. The bathroom was well worn, and the stopper for the sink was missing. But the hot water was hot, and the drains worked, and I can't say that is true of everywhere I stay.

bed frame was broken. note on the doors said wearing a mask is mandatory yet not even the staff was wearing masks.

Close to where I needed to be, and also close to restaurants. Had easy parking. Clean inside and out.

"Breakfast was the most pitiful I have ever seen in a motel. Room is not handicap accessible. ( stairs in hall! )No grab rails in bathroom .freezer in mini fridge does not work. Price is very high for level of quality.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and the staff is friendly! Its close to work.. and affordable.
