Even with a small emergency on Christmas Eve, we love this historic property and stay there when in Utica visiting family! About 12:30 AM Christmas Eve the hotel alarm went off telling us to evacuate via the stairs (we were on the 9th floor) and make our way to the main floor of the hotel. As we approached the lobby level water was coming under the door and down the stairs to the basement. Apparently the water main to the fire suppression system had burst in the ceiling above the lobby entrance and water was quickly filling the lobby floors. The Utica FD was there, got the water main turned off, and pushed the water on the lobby floor outside. The staff at the hotel did an amazing job handling this emergency and keeping us all safe! The hotel was back up and fully functional again within 6 hours, that’s amazing!

We have stayed at this hotel several times . Beautiful views and staff is beyond amazing and helpful. We always stay at DoubleTree with corner room when in Utica . Lobby is gorgeous! Matt is always beyond helpful and kind . Always Makes us smile ! Fabulous hotel with very clean and beautiful rooms ! Highly recommend !!!

Breakfast is not included with the room. When we went to the breakfast area at the stated time it was not ready and staff looked surprised.

The staff was very friendly. My special requests were met and exceeded expectation! The room was very clean and air conditioning was already on when we entered our room. We had a very enjoyable stay.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. I have nothing to say here.

Location to the event I was attending. Cleanliness of the hotel. Size of the room I stayed in.

The price of my stay was a bit high. HOwever, I know that this was due to the local event I was attending.

i’ve stayed at this property many times since my daughter is in the nearby college and it is convenient. I like the fact that it has an attached restaurant.

i’ve stayed here quite a bit. The first few times were a great experience. Recently, This time I did not have any heat in our room and this last time, the central air was not working in my room. The restaurant, for breakfast, had one girl working doing everything! Taking orders, cleaning tables and cooking the meals. Needless to say she did a great job, but the food did suffer. I actually felt very bad for her. She was very sweet and did the best job she could given the circumstances.

That you couldn't hear the wedding going on, on the first 2 floors, on the fifth floor.

When we arrived there was a wedding rehearsal dinner party going on. It was so loud that we couldn't hear the front desk staff speaking to us. We had to use pictures and our hands to communicate. Then when we came back the next night from our dance competition, exhausted and dragging our bags, the wedding reception going on in the LOBBY of the hotel!! We seriously couldn't even get to the elevator! The staff was nowhere to be seen either! We had to push and shove our way, yelling "excuse me!" All the way to the elevators, which were partially blocked off with signs and balloons. I would've called the front desk but I know there was no one there to answer the phone if they could have even heard it ringing. Worst experience ever. We will never be staying at this hotel again.

Beautiful and well-maintained property with extremely comfortable rooms. Everything you need for a short term stay in Utica. Probably one of the nicest buildings in the city!

I liked everything about my stay here.

Everyone there was very nice and accommodating. The room was very spacious and clean.

We usually go to the restaurant inside the hotel, the iconic. The weight staff is always very nice but this time the food was very disappointing.

The hotel is in a beautifully restored historic building, centrally located, and offers all modern conveniences. Our room was attractive, spacious and comfortable.

I have no negative comment to make.
