Conveniently located, felt safe, lovely grounds, exceptionally clean!

The location of The Dawn was perfect. It was just as they advertised. Across the street from the Galvaston TX beach and located perfectly where there was access to resturants, stores and various attractions. I liked that The Dawn was gated with good surveillance. I liked the cleanliness of the unit itself even though it was reeking with the awful smell of cannabis from the minute I opened the door upon our first arrival. I liked that the property manager agent contacted us to tell us about the bedroom stained carpet. I just wish they had contaced us before we arrived rather than the day of our arrival. I liked the grounds of the property which were always very well kept. I liked the colorful comfortable feel of the unit which was well stocked with everything a regular living quarter would need to live in.

I DID NOT like the smell of marijiuana upon our arrival. I did not like the Inability to lock the balcony sliding doors. I did not like being locked out on the balcony for 20 minutes while taking selfies on one of the hottest days. We were stuck on the second floor balcony of our until the property maintenance guys came and forced the door open to let us back in. This was the same balcony door that did not lock when we were on the inside of the unit. Each night we had to barricade sliding balcony doors because we could never get the door to lock no matter what we did and how many times we tried to hook the latch. I didn't like that we were not offered more of a discount for the inconvenieces we suffered through. I didn't like having to wipe down walls, furniture and anything we could with clorox wipes to get the smell of "weed" out of the unit. I'm hoping we receive our reimbursement of $50.00 that they promised us for the nasty stain in one of the bedrooms that they informed me of the day we arrived to begin our vaction.

We were not offered breakfast. Did not like that we had to pay extra for parking on property site.

Hassle to check in, desk clerk friendly but couldnt assist us at che king in, extra charge for parking on property site, no elevator, no handicap access only stairs which weren't expected. Property was not beach front.

Location was great. Gated condominiums. The only thing we didn't care for is we had to pay for parking on the property. Pools were nice!! We will definitely be back!

The location was awesome as it's very clean and I could see the beach from the balcony. It has its own washer and dryer, everything is basically furnished. You can go eat out or cook yourself. Very family friendly and gated and locked.

Location and value, the kitchen and the balcony. Easy walk to the beach, stores, a few restaurants. Comfortable bed.

The shower curtain liner needs to be replaced. It was pretty gross.

I never find the office open. I ask for handicap room and I get one in the 3rd floor. I have to leave my truck outside the parking lot because they towed the truck if you don’t pay for the parking.

The 2nd night I have to stay with a friend because I was to tired I can’t get to my room.

I did not like the fact that the downstairs bedroom was infested with bed bugs and they knew that it was a problem and they still put me and my family at risk! It’s just about money here! They are not cleaning and treating this apartment. The sliding doors did not close completely. Horrible experience! I have never seen or experienced bedbugs before. We had to Google to know what it was. When we alerted them about the problem, they did not seem surprised. There was a powdery substance all over the carpeting when we arrived. Later, we discovered that it was for treating the bedbugs infestation in the condo; gross!! Save your money! We were refunded our money but do not put your family at risk of being bitten or by bringing bedbugs back to your home!

Excellent location across the street from the beach. Pool area was very nice. Our condo was very clean and comfortable.

There was gnats in the house the first day is was annoying! The sofa bed really needs an up grade! Very uncomfortable. Other than that the set up was nice. Definitely enough space. We still enjoyed. It was a little too warm even with the ac on.

This place is disgusting. It needs to be power washed. There’s algae on the outside. The unit I rented had mold growing outside the AC vents and had numerous Sheetrock damage. The carpet was super dirty. The mattress was caved in and very uncomfortable. I felt like I was staying in a Motel 6.

The location was fantastic, right across the street from the beach. It was secure and safe. Perfect for women traveling together. The complex itself was fantastic. It was clean and well maintained. I willl not hesitate to look for other units in this complex-just not this unit!

The unit was older and needed upgrading-there was missing and broken slats in the cheap blinds in the master bedroom making privacy an issue. Heat and air vents black and moldy. Dripping ceiling pipe in the bathtub (drain of some kind?). Dripped constantly. Left arm of the chair s pulling away-staples showing, dangerous. Knob on dryer completely broken off unable to use. Loose floor tiles in bathroom. Carpet stained, TV not working upstairs, wall needing patching and paint in bedroom. Had I been aware this unit was on the 3rd floor I would have passed and looked for a unit on a lower floor.
