Keine Aufmerksamkeiten: Pantoffeln, Dusch-Haarshampoo oder andere Kosmetika. Rudimentär eingerichtetes Zimmer. Kein Barbetrieb. Wollten einen Kaffee trinken. Geht erst ab 19.00. keine Terrasse. Man tut nichts, um den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Kein Parkplatz vorhanden.

J’ai beaucoup aimé l’emplacement, la vue sur le lac Léman et le personnel au top, rien à dire

La propreté de la chambre, toile d’araignée, rideau, déchiré et cousu avec du fil noir très grossièrement. Les chambres ont besoin d’un bon rafraîchissement. J’ai connu mieux pour quatre étoiles et également le mini Bar qui était dans le descriptif mais inexistant en chambre. Effectivement il y a le mini frigo, mais vide.

Moquette sporca, mancavano ciabatte nella suite, mancava la vasca nella camera standard, nemmeno uno shampoo, un solo prodotto multiuso per corpo capelli che ci ha dato irritazioni alla pelle, cameriere ai piani che non parlano francese, nessuna ventola in bagno, infissi fatiscenti e in generale area di decadenza fatto eccezione per il centro benessere , nemmeno un gancio dove lasciare le chiavi, camera con porta comunicante con vicini chiassosi di cui ho potuto sentire il russare beato tutta la notte, pieno di mini gradini nascosti

Amazing view and value. Rooms are a bit sparse and outdated, but for the price it’s really incredible.

The hotel was at walking distance to more lively part of Montreux, which was exactly what we wanted since we didn't want to be in a crowded square while enjoying the view from balcony with a glass of local wine. This is a very good location, very nice hotel with comfortable rooms (all with the lake view).

1. The Hotel desperately needs renovation: rooms are old and worn, stinky and stained carpet, bathrooms are really terrible, old, dirty, hole in the wall instead of the shower holder 2. Price for this quality of rooms and bathrooms is extremely exaggerated - 250 CHF for 1 night/room 3. Calling the hotel luxurious on the website is also an extreme exaggeration, maybe that was the case 30-40 years ago... 4. Instead of electronic room locks and cards, you get 1 big and heavy old style key per room... the doors also do not look too solid.

When we got into the room the bathtub was dirty , we did the claim and they immediately solved.

Fantastic location with the most beautiful view ever!

Could do with a little refreshing but otherwise a lovely hotel which was very glamorous in it’s heyday 100 years ago.

Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were well set up and fancy marble.

The carpets were old, needed replacement.

The view from the hotel is nothing short of magnificent, a panoramic spectacle that seems to embody all that Montreux has to offer. The awe-inspiring vistas of the Lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps, seen from the hotel's balconies, offer a sight to behold. This is a unique selling point of the Excelsior that remains undeniable.

However, despite this extraordinary backdrop, the hotel's present state does not quite match up to the glitz of its history. Evidence of its grand past is palpable, yet sadly, it feels as though the Belle Époque has left this grand establishment, leaving behind traces of wear and tear that have not been appropriately addressed. One cannot help but notice the stains on the carpets, a disheartening sight that betrays the otherwise opulent facade.

The view from the room and also from the restaurant was fascinating. The location was great. The breakfast was good. The woman at reception was incredibly kind responded to all our needs. The pool was great again with an amazing view.

The French windows were a bit old and had quite a bit of cold air coming in.
