Los folletos prometen aislamiento y tranquilidad solo para encontrar cuando llegue que no es lo que ordenó; bueno, Villa Frene le ofrece esa excelente ubicación y más. Ubicado en medio de campos abiertos y olivares con la playa más cercana a solo 900 metros de distancia; Villa Frene tiene todo lo que necesitará para unas vacaciones perfectas. Tiene a mano una piscina privada, zona de barbacoa y comedor, terrazas para tomar el sol, área de juegos para niños con columpios y otros artículos de juego, suficiente jardín para que la familia más numerosa pueda correr y ningún vecino inmediato del que preocuparse. Las tabernas, las tiendas y la vida nocturna están cerca, pero sin complejos turísticos concretos a su alrededor, sin carreteras principales concurridas y sin restaurantes ruidosos, le resultará difícil hacer otra cosa que relajarse y disfrutar del estilo de vida pacífico y agradable chipriota.

Great villa with a beautiful pool area.
The villa has 2 house cats, the cats are friendly but do want to sit near you on the patio, I am not cat friendly so I didn’t like this.
Ants in the kitchen are a problem, on the work tops. This needs addressing.
Whilst we have stayed here we have experienced several power cuts causing the alarm to go off. Sometimes in the middle of the night, Anna the host believes this to be because of the heat. This may have been true but we was losing powder in the villa 3/4 times a day every day. This was a problem.
The rooms was a good size, comfortable, clean. The villa is dated but for the money we paid I found it very good value for money.
I would mention that more toilet rolls & bathroom towels would be beneficial as we run out of toilet rolls and 1 towel per person for a week isn’t really good.
Overall we had an amazing stay in the villa.

Anna and Kostas are very king hosts! The villa was very convinient for our purpose. We enjoyed the swimming pool much, it was 38 °C during our stay.

The price for a 5 bedroomed villa can't be faulted. Lots of garden space and a fantastic pool area. The location means a car is needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay having two youngsters a teen and four adults, the villa space catered for everyones needs, however....some things do need pointing out.
A few things do need replacing such as the barbeque shelving, it has a big hole in it which I had to repair by wiring a second rack over it. It's also small and cooking for 4 is pushing it a little. The bathrooms need a bit of attention as shower heads are old and the drainage we had to report as whenever you shower, you get a free footbath! The saucepans are old, non-stick coating is peeling off and the bottoms are no longer flat. The air conditioning units are old and quite noisy, but, they do the job...at a price of 5 Euros per room per night, we thought that was incredibly expensive.
As for the location, it's idyllic in one respect as no neighbours close by, no traffic passing.....except for farm vehicles which I'll come to shortly so peace during the daytime is almost guaranteed, however at night it's a completely different story. 5 Euros for a noisy air con unit per night may suit some better than listening to the local dogs barking on and off all night, coupled with the donkey, the cockerel at all hours and the farmers generator for crop spraying/watering drove us mad. Nothing the villa owners can do, but worth knowing.
All said, it's still a budget friendly bargain!

We had a lovely stay here at villa frene, was in a lovely location just a little too far out for the children to walk all the time so we hired a car while we stayed. Pool was lovely, although not heated was perfect to cool off in during the day. The villa itself was beautiful and surrounded by nature at its best. Anna was a fantastic host and answered any questions we had and helped us with anything we needed while we stayed there. She met us at the villa and greeted us and showed us round.

Had a lovely stay at the villa. The host was extremely friendly, quick to reply, and flexible with our checkout as the property was empty after us, which we really appreciated. The villa had everything we needed and was spacious, though could benefit with a bit of updating in places. This didn't detract from our stay at all. The pool was clean and we had plenty of sun loungers and chairs to enjoy the sun. We paid extra for aircon on in the bedrooms as felt it was needed at night. As others have said there are some dogs barking often nearby but earplugs made this fine. There are also some cats that live by the property who are very friendly and the host asked us to put biscuits out for them :)
The only thing is that there was a weird smell in the kitchen cupboards - I think this was because we were the first to stay there in a while so my feedback would be that that should be checked when the property has been empty for a while.

Such a lovely villa with plenty of space and away from the the hustle and bustle but close enough to get to everything by car. It was all really clean and comfortable. It’s about a 8-10 minute drive to Pafos and even less to a large village that has everything you may need. Would love to come back one day. Thank you Anna and Kostas

We visited with our extended family including children between 6 and 14 yrs. First the good. And I mean really good! Anna & Kosta's communication was great, checking our party size, arrival time etc. and responding to our few queries super quick. The property is just as described on the listing, and is in a secluded location in the middle of surrounding agricultural land. Geroskipou Beach & Waterpark are easily walkable (around 1km). A bit further or a bus to the nearest shop or Paphos Harbour so would recommend a car if you don't want to rely on taxis or want to explore further afield. The pool was great, clean & regularly maintained. For the price, there are literally no bad points. As a family, we prefer somewhere that is reasonably priced and modestly appointed - less to worry about the kids damaging! So yes, some furnishings could be refreshed or updated, but the villa had just about everything we needed and was clean, secure & tidy. If you're expecting 5-star hotel luxury, then you might be a little disappointed. We didn't need the optional extra aircon, even in the 31 degrees we enjoyed in October. The location meant that there are occasionally dogs barking at night and bird scarer pops during the day but as others have noted - you get used to them. We enjoyed Cyprus and will likely return... and if we do, we'd probably choose this villa again!

We were a large group of family and friends staying here before our wedding in Cyprus so it was perfect for us to all be together. The pool was amazing and the house stands out lit up at night in it’s beautiful surroundings. Anna and Kostas were great hosts and helped us find the place late at night and even took our son to the shops for essentials as we had nothing to eat or drink with us. The house had 2 residential cats which were friendly and we just fed them when required. The house is a bit of a distance to walk to town but not too far to walk to the beach and there are plenty of taxis and buses available. We did hire a car to get about and it was the perfect place to come home to and relax around the pool. There are a few houses nearby and we did hear dogs barking at night but we got used to it and imagine they are there to protect the secluded properties. Aircon wasn’t included in the price but we only needed it for a couple of the bedrooms as the house stayed pretty cool at night but might be different in hotter months. All in all it was the perfect place to stay for us and we made special memories here.

The owner Anna was friendly and very helpful. Our taxi couldn’t find the property and so Anna directed him to the villa. We arrived around midnight and she then drove me and my husband to an all night bakery where we could purchase some essentials for next day breakfast.
There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs, one of which was ensuite and also an additional bathroom. We were a party of 6 with ages ranging from 26 to 80. So, plenty of space and options for everyone.
The villa is remote so we found a car to be essential. We also used taxis when eating out which worked out around 30 euros for a return journey to the harbour for the 6 of us.
There is a private pool which was cleaned regularly and plenty of sunbeds. We spent most of our time on the patio overlooking the pool which was perfect.
We had regular visits from the local cats and Anna asked if we would mind feeding them which wasn’t a problem as they were all very tame and friendly.
We had a fantastic holiday and absolutely ideal for a large party. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Anna.

We stayed there with 10 people (4 adults, 6 kids) in Feb 2023. Weather was nearly perfect (18-20 degrees). Pool was cold :-) but clean and a good refreshment.
The hosts are really great people. Unfortunately, the house was broken into while we were on a trip, but the hosts helped us a lot.
Location is good. You can walk 10-15 min to the beach.
From our point of view, the accommodation really needs a refreshment. New cooking stuff in the kitchen and an intense cleaning. The air conditioning units should be serviced, and the bedding should be replaced (and some extra blankets for chilly nights).

Fantastic place to stay. A little further from the city center, but if you are looking for a quiet place, this villa is the place to stay. Very close to the beach and there's a private swimming pool!

This property was perfect for our family of 8 adults of multi generations. Downstairs rooms for the oldies, and upstairs for the rest.....
The home is out of the way (near the water park) but in farmland, and the local beach can be walked to quite easily. You would need a car to go into Paphos itself, but we always do this for exploring anyway, so wasn't an issue. The local buses are frequent and cheap though, so that could also be an option.
House was clean on arrival, and Anna was very helpful.
There are resident cats, which for us wasn't an issue; they are very friendly....
The pool and poolside area are perfect; lots of sunbeds and shade, and patio furniture is in plentiful supply, even though it could be updated as it's a little 'worn'.
All in all, we had a great time, in a great property, I would certainly recommend it if you are a large party holidaying together.

Wonderful accommodation, with a very friendly, helpful and communicative host. Although the beach and water park is very close a hire car is essential to get the most out of the visit. The villa is walled and gated so a hire car is safe. Security is sound with the villa alarmed when you’re out and about. I would strongly recommend and would stay again

Great hosts! Lovely Villa, car a good idea.
We are a family of 6, age range 15-52, Anna and Kosta looked after us before and during our stay, good communication, done some shopping for us on arrival, which was very appreciated as we arrived late at night. I would suggest renting a car, which was easily done in Paphos. Overall a great week spent here and we would definitely return.

Very relaxing holiday
We stayed at the villa as guests of a wedding in a nearby hotel. Anna drove a few of us to a local shop on the first day. Lovely bakery nearby. We hired a car easily from the harbour. The only downside was the dogs barking at night but you got used to this.

Super friendly host!
We had a fun holiday here! Anna is so friendly and helpful! She even drove a couple of us to the nearest shop on arrival to pick up a few essentials!
The villa is a good size and had pretty much everything we needed. It is, however, a bit dated and some areas could have done with a good clean. Also, the mattresses were very uncomfortable.
We loved the pool and there was plenty of outside space. There are a few cats there which was fine, except for when they tried to take our food or they had gone to the toilet around the pool/sunbed area and we had to clean it up.
The location is both good and bad. The airport is only 10/15 minutes away and Paphos town/harbour is also a very short drive away. However, as per other comments, there are lots of dogs barking throughout the day and night, which became annoying pretty quickly! If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend taking some earplugs!

Great villa
This was our second holiday to this villa. It has a great pool with plenty of outside space including swings, a bbq , ten sunbeds and lots of seating.
Inside the bedrooms are comfortable and bright. Air conditioning works really well.
The kitchen is well equipped if a little dated.
The owners of the villa are fantastic. Extremely friendly and always at the end of the phone if we had any problems.
We will definitely stay here again.

Nice villa, great location,
Villa is in a quiet location and the drive to Paphos is easy. The pool area is a nice size and there is plenty of out door space.
The appliances and furnishings in the villa are a little tired and could do with a some updating. The villa could have done with a more thorough clean as there were lots of cobwebs, dirty marks in the shower and some appliances needed to be cleaned before use.
The owners were helpful, they were really accommodating upon arrival. We had asked them if they were able to purchase pizzas for us, they were more than happy to do this and we just paid them when we got there late that night.
One thing to be aware of is that the air conditioning is an extra charge. Well worth it as it is very efficient. we were charged 5 euros per bedroom per night and 10 euros per living area per day.
There were cats that had made the villa and surroundings their home. This was not a problem , we just needed to ensure the villa doors remained shut , they didn't really bother us that much.
Overall, we had a lovely family holiday.

Anna and Kostas were both so lovely and helpful, the villa was difficult to find to begin with and they met us there which was great! I would definitely recommend a car but it’s possible to get taxis or walk it just gets a bit hot! All in all we had a fantastic time here and would love to go back

Great house, great pool
We enjoyed our time at the villa with a large group - it has lots of space, enough bathrooms and a cleverly divided outside area allowing for privacy and community activities at the same time. Pool and garden were very well maintained.
If you are a light sleeper, the dogs and roosters in the neighbourhood might bother you with their nighttime barking and calling.
Kitchen is not top-notch anymore and there were some slight problems surrounding the refrigerator, other than that we were very, very happy here.

Good place for a short break.
Very good size good facilities nice pool. I little difficult to find. Owner very polite and welcoming. Lots of dogs in the surrounding areas and they tend to bark a lot at night. Overall we were a party of 9 and we enjoyed our time.

Fabulous holiday in the sun.
We booked this villa for 3 weeks this summer and invited friends and family to come and stay. Villa Frene was just perfect. Clean and well equipped ( although a second fridge would be good for cold drinks and water) with plenty of space for everyone. Our grandsons loved the pool and play area as did we!! The air conditioning is effective although we only used it in the bedrooms. Kostas was amazing. So friendly and always at the end of the phone if we had a problem. His restaurant The Moorings in Paphos harbour serves great food too! I can also recommend Stevies taxi service. Great value for transporting up to 10 people at a time as the villa is quite a walk from the bus stop in August heat. Being away from the hustle and bustle was a bonus for us. I wouldn't hesitate in booking Villa Frene again. Thank you Kostas and Anna for a fabulous holiday.

Fantastic family villa!
From arriving at Paphos airport, it was the start of an amazing family holiday and this was made possible due to the hospitality of Kostas and Anna. We were given a telephone number to contact Anna should we have any difficulty in finding the villa. This came in useful for the airport taxi drivers as the villa is fairly difficult to find given the secluded area (this was actually a bonus!).
The villa itself was beautifully clean and spacious and perfect for our family of 8 adults and 2 children. We were greeted by Kostas who took a few of us to the nearest supermarket as it was quite late and a national holiday which meant that most of the shops were closed. This was so helpful as we were able to get in the basics for breakfast etc.
The grounds of the villa again were beautifully kept and the children were kept amused daily by the pool and abundance of lizards!!
We stayed the first week in April due to a family wedding but the weather was beautiful and in the sun hit an amazing 44 degrees on one day.
We took advantage of the local mini golf which was enjoyed by all and very reasonable in price.
All in all a fantastic place to stay and we hope to take advantage of this wonderful villa again. Would definitely recommend.

Great Location
We spent a little time trying to find the villa (which was difficult when dark) when unable to locate due lack of road signs (Common in Cyprus) we called Anna & Kosta) who were amazing!!! they met us near a roundabout at 1am and personally escorted us to the villa...
Once at the villa..... wow what a view after a long flight
The villa is a little dated but don't let that put you off. Everything works well and the space and pool are perfect.
As per the previous review I would recommend a car for ease.
Will be booking again :)

Peaceful and spacious
This is a great place to stay if you want somewhere to relax that is peaceful and away from the bustle of the main resort. It is situated in a very rural part of Geroskipou, approximately 15 minutes from the airport by car. The villa itself is clean, spacious and the terrace with pool is excellent. The photos do show it as it really is. The walk to Paphos harbour is around 35-40 mins but only 5/10 by car and €12-15 in a large taxi. This is well worth it when you get back in to complete peace and quiet!
It is definitely worth hiring a car as this villa is secluded but this is what is so attractive about the villa!
The owners are very friendly and helpful; do take them up on their offer to call them to find the villa when you first arrive as it's not too easy, particularly in the dark.
If you're looking for off the beaten track but within walking distance of the main resort, this is definitely a place worth considering!
