Cafe staff were wonderful; bay area was beautiful and the water was consistently calm for both swimming and water walking; area was not bombarded with tourists; food was good; our room had an exceptional view; small, cozy, family-friendly.

Disfunctional internet; one station on TV, why have it at all? people with physical limitations will be hindered by the bathroom tub/ shower and 52+ steps to get to and from the shoreline and restuarant; taxi and massage services were ridiculously overpriced- two times the taxi didn't even come. Use Grab instead. Balcony railing was loose, could have been easily kicked down- glad we didn't have young children wanting to hang on it.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Nice view from the apartments at the top floor.

During check-in the ladies at the reception noted that I had only registered one guest, but we were a couple checking in so they saw the opportunity to charge extra. I was given a piece of paper («contract») with a price given as a question mark (?) to sign so they would determine he price later after I have signed. Naturally I refused to sign and the manager realized they had to chacge tactics. The manager then came up with a number: 200 baht/night extra for being 2 guest in sted of one. I reluctantly payed because I just wanted to check-in after our long travels. I then double-checked the claim that a double room with no breakfast was more expensive if registering 2 guests than 1 guest. It is of course not. The price for a double room is the same regardless of registering 1 or 2 guests. The price given in the booking apps like Agoda and Booking(.)com are for two people. I went through the booking process multiple times and confirmed this. I then sent a message to the reception staff regarding this and I also made a customer service case with booking com about this since it is illigal and against their policy. I also mentioned this to the staff in the reception and asked them to bring it up with the manager. They did not answer any of my messages or requests and the manager was of course not present during check-out. I am now writing this review to tell others about this scam so they can avoid this in the future. Apart from this, the first room we got had a tremendously loud and sqeeky bed and wooden floor and the view was blocked by trees and not like the pictures at all. After requesting to change room the lady at the reception offered an upgrade only to withdraw the offer after a phone call with the manager. Then they offered a price of 290 baht/night extra for the upgrade and told me it was usually around 500-something baht. I accepted the upgrade and the new room was pretty nice and had a nice view.

Номер требует ремонта как и вся территория отеля. В комнате не приятный запах. Полотенца и постельное белье рваное от старости. WiFi только для тестового контента. Кондиционер шумит.

Great views and pleasant rooms

Everything is super expensive. I met a woman and her come stay the night with me only to be told I needed to pay an extra 200 baht for her to stay and they would not allow her to enter which was very uncomfortable.

El desayuno era bastante bueno. El alojamiento se encuentra en una zona tranquila, no hay nada alrededor, es necesario alquilar moto. Facilitan el alquiler desde el alojamiento. El personal es muy agradable.

La televisión es algo anticuada. Las escaleras hacia el bar son externas, por lo que si esta lloviendo te mojas. Hay muchísimos mosquitos, tiene mosquiteras en la cama pero están cedidas de agarrarlas a la estructura por lo que no hacen su función.

The mattress was not very comfortable and the pillows were like a rock.We only ate in the restaurant one night, food wasn’t great. But overall a pleasant stay

I loved the view of the bay, nice big bathtub. Restaurant serves delicious food, helpful staff.

The whole hotel was lovely, the lady at the front of desk (Watermelon) was very accomodating and welcoming. The rooms were big and it had a nice pool.

No where on the description does it say that the beach the hotel is on is un-useable which was a big shame. It is a 45 minute walk from the useable portion of Lamai Beach or a 15-20 minute walk to Crystal Beach.

A bit of a walk to the beach and the main road. Not so bad but the hill is pretty steep.

Lovely large family room which was comfortable and had everything you needed. The bathroom was large and the shower hot. Great views from hotel balcony & in a lovely quiet location. Lovely little pool and direct access onto the beach. Staff very attentive and cheerful. Great choice of set breakfasts which limits waste. A lovely little hotel that we would return to again.

Pool chemicals need amending. Swim wear colour faded drastically after one days wear.

Not a lot

We left early as the bath and shower were disgusting, the sun beds were mouldy and the breakfast was limited and made me ill, pool didn’t look clean and had lots floating in it, beach was dangerous with glass, bricks and not to mention slimy. There was also a big construction site to the right where there was noisy angle grinding going on the whole time we were there so meant we couldn’t enjoy the balcony or pool even if we wanted too.

The location is okay even if now the sea is far due to natural reasons. The room is nice.

The price for services (cab, breakfast..) is really high for Thai standards

The bed was comfortable. The room is good and can see the view of the ocean.

The location is hard to find as far from the main road. The staff don't feel welcome, and the pool is dirty for swimming. Actually, not having many facilities to relax and enjoy quiet time and the beach is not beautiful for walking along as a lot of rock and mud.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, and sea views. All in all we were pretty happy with our stay here. There are decent restaurants close by as well as a restaurant and bar within the complex, beside the lovely pool area.

The rooms and balcony are quite dated, and the photo of the room didn't look like the one we had booked.

I thought we could do some snorkeling, but we couldn’t. No corals, no fish around. Very shallow beach. But the hotel is very good.

Very friendly staff, spacious room, hotel right on the beach. Fantastic views.

The steps down to the beach were a bit challenging at first, for a 72 yr old with a new knee, but once I was loaned a stick the steps became much easier.

Really lovely spot. Beach is clean and it would be a great place with children as the water is clean and with no waves as it's protected by a reef. You walk to other bars and hotels and the breakfast and food is good. Host is lovely as are all the team! Thanks for looking after us.

Steps. It is a steep walk down to the pool, restaurant and bar, but worth it.

Excellent location in Samui but especially Lamai, easy rental of motorbikes, great breakfast and restaurant, awesome view.

We had a super family vacation at Cinnamon Villas. The hotel rooms are spacious, tastefully furnitured and have beautiful view even from the bed:) Beds are very comfortable. The lush garden, rocks, waterfall was just beautiful. The big pool was always spotlessly clean. The restaurant is placed directly by the sea! The breakfast menus were super, and all the a la carte meals were really tasty! We really liked to have dinner there. There was always some good music around the pool, garden and restaurant, creating a very calm atmosphere. The hospitality of the owner lady and all the waiters was great, helpful, and made our holiday perfect. The location of the hotel was a bit outside of the town but therefore we could really relax, the uphill location made the view over the whole bay really spectacular. We took place on many activities in Koh Samui and a hotel transfer was never a problem, it is included in the program prices and they came always in time. We had a superb time there, the price for value is really good. We will return! :)

Perfect place to unwind and start our holiday. The hotel location was great. The food here is exceptional. Real Thai cuisine. So full of flavour and very reasonably priced. The room was clean, large and plenty of space for everything. Aircon worked perfectly. The staff are all fabulous and make for a great team. Tangmo took great care of us and will arrange anything you need. Will definitely be back.
