The Location and the people

All of the facilities are old. Chairs are not comfortable. Toilets are not always clean. Often soap is missing in the toilets.

Location was fine and so was the price

It felt more like a place for people living there rather than travelling

They had a sign in the bathrooms that it may take up to 5 mins to get hot water, it didn't come even after the 5 minutes. Not a huge deal for me, however it could be a deal breaker for others

no parking around, not clean, too busy and smelly due to lack of windows, showers and bathrooms didnt have locks… and the rooms gotta have at leats boiler and look cleaner

Everything - staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Location is great for food and venues as well as for getting to and from the airport. The room was as expected for what we paid for. Overall a really good place to stay for good value of money!

We didn't have a fan this time around which we definitely needed to cool down after our trek back to our room in the evening! But once we cooled down, the room was a good temperature.

One of the worst Hostels I've ever been to. It is an old, run down place (kinda looks like someone started renovating a decade ago and just stopped halfway through) and seems like it hasn't been properly cleaned in a while... If you can find a different hostel, go there!

everything, unfortunately, the quality of the hostel is very low. Not clean, strange smells, everythings is old and worn out, very loud everywhere all around, you can hear everything out the windows and other hostel rooms. the beds are basic and you can feel every movement of the other person in a bunk. i didnt expect much as it was the cheapest stay, so you get what you pay for.

Omg! Talk about location location Carparking was perfect 30sec walk to Sky tower Countdown was 2mins away The city never sleeps , will always book here now for concerts etc Luxury is not everything, but this backpackers was well worth our monies

I had little choice of where to stay given the last minute choice to visit Auckland on a busy weekend. This place seemed to be the least of the evils out there. It was cheap! But it was old, run down, and noisy. The bunk beds were flimsy so when the guy below me rolled over, the whole bed moved. There was no night light, so when I got back to the room I had to figure out where things were in the dark. I could hear Auckland partying, crying and drinking when I got to bed, so I ended up using earplugs. The showers were almost non-existent. They were but a dribble and took an age to warm up. They requested that showers be limited to 4 minute but took almost that long to warm up. The day we arrived, the dispenser in the bathroom for the handwash was on the floor, with it's contents dribbling all over floor. All in all, very much a low quality place. You get what you pay for.
