Very friendly owners, awesome beds!

excellent property and very clean- beautiful gardens-

only suggestion was the very old fashion shower needs upgrading and an ancient microwave

Lovely, clean and had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Beautiful setting.

They had a great selection of DVD's at the office free of charge to watch

Batteries were flat in the TV remote.

Good value. Easy access park outside door. single level. Basic older style but very functional. Great view of mountains. Friendly owners. Big bathroom. Comfy bed.

No sky tv.

The drying room for ski gear could definitely be updated. Glove heaters so inside of gloves dry overnight

Great location, clean, nice hosts, warm. Would definitely return. Its an old school NZ motel. We had everwe needed. Close to Mt Hutt.

A bouquet of fresh hand picked roses was presented as a gift from the owners for a birthday present. They also recommend a fantastic restaurant they knew was right for us.

One reason for visiting Methven was to visit Opuke hot pools and spa as was given gift voucher. When we got to complex they were to maximum numbers and told that seniors should book for week days, not weekends. We both work part time, the day was my birthday and my daughter had booked us in for that day. They wanted family groups, not seniors.

The best bed and pillows, and beautiful towels. Really appreciated the information regarding the Pools and where it would be best to eat.

Nothing we did not like. Just a recommendation when confirming bookings that maybe a recommendation on use of the Hot Pools could be included warning guests that they need to book ahead to be able to choose from all the options available.
