We loved this hostel, we have travelled around Brazil for one month and our 4 days at Planeta Banana was our favourite hostel of all! It was clean, the room was beautiful, the hostel itself was a lovely setting with a beautiful garden and so close to the beach. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the best part of all was the hostel dog, Lola, who stole our hearts ❤️🥺

A little corner of paradise, the breakfast area was a highlight, with attention to details, I would totally recommend Planeta Banana!

The place is gorgeous, the "court yard" is beautiful with lot's of green and comfy furniture. The rooms are clean and in good condition. In one room we had a modern and quiet air condition. Björn is very friendly and helpful with giving tips for what to do in Paraty. On top of it, he does speak German, which was very helpful for us.
One room had an old and somewhat noise air condition. It's also a bit difficult to find. It's around 20min walk into the old down town.

Great Pousada in calm, residential area with wonderful breaky (great Tapioka), a 20min walk from the old town. We enjoyed the calm atmosphere away from the touristy hotspot and Björn‘s positivity!

One of our favourite places to stay in 3 months travelling! This was the single best breakfast in all our travels. If this was a restaurant, I would change my plans just to go eat here. You start off with incredible fresh fruit selection and then get fresh bread from the bakery close by. This cones with preserves, hams and cheeses. You get yogurt, coffee, teas and the freshest orange juice imaginable. After that you get made to order scrambled eggs and then a variation of options to finish. We choose the banana crepes and they made a separate dairy free one for me as I'm lactose intolerant.
The rooms are huge and have air-conditioning and a fan. We slept incredible well here and the beds were very comfortable.
The service here is mind blowing. They make you feel so welcome and we ended up extending our stay to a week.
They also have a small pool and the room comes with a fridge and free bottled water. Rooms are cleaned daily too.
It is 20min walk from the centre of town and that was no problem for us as you get to see so much more of the town.
Totally loved this place and would very highly recommend!!

The hotel was very clean and well kept. breakfast was amazing and Bjorn was awesome.. so very helpful and even helped me feel at home and guided us to some local sites…100% recommended!! 🙏

The host here is lovely and very helpful and it is a peaceful, pleasamt place to stay. Breakfast is brilliant, definitely would stay again. We loved it.

Everything was perfect. We already knew the breakfast was amazing, but only when we had that for the first time we could confirm all the hype - it's indeed super tasty and well prepared.
The people in the hotel are super kind and friendly, which makes the experience much better and cozy.
Bjorn is a great host and always wants to make sure you are having a good time. He is always full of recommendations and ideas, even on some not-so-sunny days.
The Hotel is also pretty close to a stand-up pedal and kayaking area, so if you are willing to have a different morning exercise routine, that's a good shout.
It is really safe, and you can go to the city center on foot. But anyway, to come back during the night is only 30 Brazilian reais (fixed price with the local drivers)

Lovely Pousada just off the beach. Bjorn is a brilliant host who was so helpful to us and a breakfast to die for. Our room was bright and spacious with a comfortable hammock on the balcony - a perfect vista to watch the humming birds flying in and out of the flowers. Also the friendliest dog you will ever meet.

The accomodation is great, the location, the room, the breakfast and the owner. I felt at home and had a really good time. The owner even brought me to the bus station at 2 a.m. because there aren’t a lot of taxi’s available in Paraty, especially in the night. Obrigada Björn! 🙏🏾

Planeta Banana was a great place to stay and visit the beautiful town of Paraty. The historical city centre is only a 20minute walk from the Pousada along the beach. Each morning we were greeted by Lola (the owner's dog) and were treated to an amazing freshly cooked breakfast. Our host Björn was really nice and gave us great suggestions of what to do in the area. On top of that he spoke fluent English and German which came in very handy for us.

Breakfast was a highlight - cooked to order, with fresh fruits, juice, bread, eggs, tapioca, crepes, meats and cheeses. Really delicious and great value! The property itself is pretty and peaceful with lots of trees, flowers, hummingbirds and butterflies. The jacuzzi was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Björn and his team were extremely friendly and welcoming - thank you!
I would've liked to have a few more surfaces in the room (a dresser or table) to put clothes and belongings on. Otherwise, all good!

The breakfast was very good. It is a Charming pousada and exactly as shown. The owner is very friendly and is quite helpful as well can speak English. Towels etc were clean and good.

This place is a heaven! Björn is genuinely a really nice person and his dog Lola is genuinely a really sweet dog. :-D
Everything is of great quality here, especially the beds! Every guest gets a tailored breakfast each morning, which keeps you going all day. I really felt pampered by Björn and his team. Great value for money and super clean! I highly recommend this place.
First I thought the location was a bit distant but then learned to enjoy the tranquility and silence. Also, it's only a 20 minute, beautiful walk away from the center.
