We loved our stay at Maris! Maris is an oasis just ten minutes walking from the historical center of Paraty. We felt completely safe walking to and from even after dinner in the dark. The walk itself is gorgeous down the canal and gives you an opportunity to see something outside the historic center and sleep in a quiet area. We ended up parking inside the property as other guests didn't have a car but if we were to park on the street there would have been plenty of parking and we would have felt safe doing so. The facility is even nicer than the photos. The pool was amazing and the grounds as a whole were extremely peaceful. Comfortable and large room. Breakfast was amazing every single day. The staff was also kind and attentive to anything we needed! We would highly recommend staying at Maris and would book again if we are ever back in Paraty! - Francine & Kai

Internet was not always properly working

- best stay in Brazil (we've even stayed at a 5 stars hotel in Rio, but Maris Paraty was waaaay better and nicer and cleaner) - extremely clean and nicely decorated room - excellent breakfast - excellent services - amazing hosts - beautiful yard - excellent location - far from the noise of the old city, but at a 10 mins walk from it in a safe and nice neighborhood. - everything is very well organized - Lilian has assembled a city guide for her guests and I must confess it was very useful - hand picked restaurant recommendations, tips and tricks, what to do in Paraty and so on. Lilian and the other lady (sorry, I've missed her name) are really something special. <3 - we felt like home here So thank you for everything!

Sara was exceptional! The room was clean every day, the staff was great. the breakfast I really enjoy it! Fresh fruits, warm bread, and was delivered on the room, so we could take our time to eat. They always left some groceries on the room, was a really nice touch.

Everything was fantastic and we had a wonderful honeymoon. Thoroughly recommend for couples. Excellent customer service with prompt replies via whatsapp The bungalow was large with a huge bed and great facilities Breakfast was delicious and served to the balcony when we were ready. We were able to order more food if necessary, which we took advantage of.

A lovely relaxing pousada with a superb breakfast. We stayed in the suite which is very comfortable and well appointed. There is a nice pool area. We experienced a good degree of respect for covid guidelines and the staff were very helpful in booking our boat trip too. We even got a packed lunch at check-out. Full of lovely touches.

Communication around parking could be clearer but this was resolved and handled very well by the owner of the property. No complaints.
