We had a fantastic stay in Brigita’s property. The house was beautiful, very well-maintained and had lots of pots, pans and crockery etc so we could cook at home. The village and surrounding countryside was beautiful and there was a great restaurant in the nearby village where we were well looked after. Thanks Brigita for the great stay, wine, olive oil and birthday cake!

The property and the hospitality of the owner, Brigita was beyond our expectations and above all previous holiday experiences. The house and kitchen was thoroughly kitted out and attractively done. Pool - perfect for family fun and superbly clean. The surrounding landscape inviting for strolls amongst olive trees, vineyards and orchards. Brigita and family deserve special mention for the care they took in maintaining the property (very discreet) and their generosity in making us feel at home.

This was a wonderful property in the country outside of Buzet.. The property was impeccably clean, the hostess was extremely helpful to us, the amenities were perfect. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an idyllic vacation in Croatia!

The Villa EL is situated on a hillside village Majeri - a 10 min drive from down-town Buzet. The house offered spaces for everyone of our family: one loved the fire-place, the other the pool-side (we would have loved to have warmer days to have had more of the pool), the next one the beautiful nature to jog around and so on. The host Brigita was very warm and greeted us with the traditional easter cake and wine from their own vineyard. Out evenings were just perfect with the wine by the fire-place. The house is tastefully furnished with attention to details. During our stay, we had the chance to meet with additional members of Brigita's family that were just as warm and generous. Brigita's sister-in-law who was visiting offered the fresh salad that her Mother had just cut from the garden, on knowing we were vegetarians:-) Thank you!

A beautiful,quiet,relaxing area. Home is very clean and comfortable. Host goes out of her way to be helpful and we were delighted with the cake and produce. Fresh figs is not something we get easily in Ohio. The little village is quiet with a very close little restaurant that was excellent. Drive to multiple towns within Istria and returned to such a lovely place with several close restaurants. We loved it.

Everything was perfect: the house, the pool, Brigita the host, the beautiful surrounding. It’s exactly as in the description. There is nothing more to say - it’s like so many before us wrote in their ratings. Thank you Brigita and family 😘

Brigita and her family are amazing hosts, regularly leaving baskets of fruit, veg & salad, bottles of wine & grappa, jam & even cheesecake! The villa is immaculate and very peaceful. It might be a bit off the beaten track for some, but we travelled to both East & West coasts of Istria in less than hour. There were lovely hilltop towns to visit, beautiful scenery, and very quiet roads. The villa's pool (8x4) was super, & cleaned every other day. Brigita was quickly available via Whatsapp to answer any queries. The villa is in a quiet inland area of Istria, but it was very easy to travel to more touristy parts. Thanks for a fantastic 2 weeks!

Beautiful house that is very well equiped with everything you need. The pool and garden is very well maintained. Every two days the pool is cleaned in the early morning. The house gives the impression that almost everything is new. Brigita is a great host. She provided us with lots of produce like vegetables, eggs, olive oil, a cake and not to forget the wine and grappa :-) In case you like a holiday at a quiet and beautiful spot in the middle of the Croation country side, this is the place to be! We have been renting houses in different countries eg USA, Canada, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy etc. and this one is definitely in the top 3!

My family spent 5 nights during a very hot July at this beautiful property. Brigita was a great host, good communication and efficient check in on arrival. She arranged to meet us at the local petrol station and we followed her to the house which was located about 10 mins from town centre. The house is equipped with everything you could ask for and Brigita has great taste in interior design. The bedrooms, kitchen and living areas are air conditioned and the bedrooms and outside seating area also have mosquito devices. Outside gardens and pool are beautifully maintained with 2 seating areas, loungers, umbrella and brick BBQ. We followed the suggestions in Brigita’s book and visited a hilltop village in the morning and coastal village in the evening, our favourites were Groznjan and Rovinj. Afternoons were spent relaxing by the pool in the peaceful surroundings. Many thanks Brigita for your gifts and wine and also the delicious cheesecake. We would definitely return.

Brigita has a lovely home and is an outstanding host. The home is located in a gorgeous and peaceful setting. You can see the true craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the home. It was everything we could have hoped for. Brigita was wonderfully accommodating and prompt with all communications and went out of her way to meet us after a long drive in.

Our stay at Villa El was amazing! Although it was a bit cool to enjoy the pool, we were still able to soak up the sun on the terrace while watching the olive harvest. The beds are comfortable and the cleanliness impeccable! The drive into Buzet for groceries is about 12 minutes. A nice mix of peaceful isolation and amenities close at hand! Brigita was a wonderful host - even sending her husband to deliver sugar and salt our first night, followed by a personal delivery of honey, homemade jam an pomegranates the next morning! Also very accommodating when we asked to stay an extra night! Thanks, Brigita!

Great location for seeing remote hillsides, and either coast. Very quiet and beautiful views. Property very clean and all you could ever need

We had four wonderful days at this home. The owner greated us and took us up to the property and showed us everthing. During our stay she dropped off local wines, olive oil and grapes. Pool is spectacular and we enjoyed every minute of the stay. Only wish we could have stayed longer

We couldn't recommend Villa El more highly. It's a really nicely built and decorated house which is a pleasure to stay in. The location was peaceful and beautiful and the welcome from Brigita with wine, olive oil and fruit and vegetables made it a really special stay. We would certainly return. Thank you so much for sharing such a fabulous home.

We really enjoyed our stay! The Villa had everything we could ask for and was maintained to a high standard. The pool was lovely and cleaned regularly. Brigita was a fantastic host. She provided us with lots of lovely homegrown produce and was always ready to help when needed. The area itself is beautiful and staying in Buzet allows for easy access to all resorts in Istria but also Slovenia and Italy. Definitely recommended!!!

The property is definitely 5 star in terms of quality of the finish and fittings and very well equipped and private. Brigitta was very helpful with information before arrival and provided us with wonderful produce from the farm including some wonderful wine. Our only recommendation would be to provide a visitor book to allow other guests to pass on tips about restaurants and sites to see in the area.

We had an Awesome time in this beautiful house. Too BAD you can’t give 10 stars! Brigata was great and since we all live and breath Croatian Soccer during The World Cup What could be better!! Close second would be Brigita’s Wine and Olive oil!

This was our dream vacation home in Croatia. Brigitta welcomed us into this lovely and well-kept home. This home had all amenities for cooking up great meals with local olive oil, vegetables, and washing it all down with local wine. We even BBQed one night and the kids went swimming everyday. You will not forget this truly amazing experience in Istria!! We will be back next time in Croatia!!

The build quality & finish in this villa is truly amazing. We have stayed in several villas but this was by far the best in terms of fixtures, fittings, cleanliness & overall quality. Brigita made us feel very welcome & provided beautiful homegrown vegetables, wine & other produce for it throughout our stay. The villa is located 5 minutes from Buzet with all local amenities, & is a great base for travelling throughout Istria. Novigrad is about 35 minutes away with its marina & beaches. Also, Istralandia waterpark near Novigrad is highly recommended - we spent a full day there & the whole family thoroughly enjoyed it.

A beautiful house in a wonderful, very calm area. The house is new and very well kept. It's exactly as it looks on the pictures. The cleanest house we ever rented. The area is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The hospitality by the owner is extraordinary (THANK YOU BRIGITA!). She checked the pool every other day in the early morning, before we got up. We were blessed with vegetables, eggs, oil and wine from the own production. Not to forget the delicous cake that we found in front of the door. The area is agricultural and calm. Tiny villages, friendly people and little privately run restaurants. Next supermarket and bars are about 7 km away in Buzet. This is the best house we ever had (and we had a few). Absolutely recommendable.

Absolutely amazing. 5 star plus ! The Villa is gorgeous & beautifully furnished & maintained, set in the breathtaking beautiful Istrian hills. The original stone house is fully equipped with everything you need for an extended stay or a short stay. Gourmet kitchen, 2 televisions, private swimming pool, all personal amenities, etc. Even nicer than the photos on line. The owners are the most attentive & generous people you will ever meet. We often came home to a supply of their fresh produce from their nearby farm. Our time went by way too fast & were definitely sad to leave. The location of Villa El is perfect for day excursions to historic nearby towns such as Motovun, Grojan, Roc & Opatia, Novigrad, Umag & Porec (by the gorgeous Adriatic Sea) all well worth seeing & just a short 30 to 35 minute drive or less. The caves in Slovenia are another nearby must see attraction. In addition to an excellent restaurant nearby in the town of Sovinjak that is walking distance from Villa El, there are so many more great restaurants in the towns mentioned above that serve delicious Istrian food & sea food. Best cappacinos can be had in the little café in Buzet.

We had such an amazing stay that our family ( with two kids 6 and 3 yrs) didn't want to leave. The house is beautiful and authentic. It has been lovingly restored and has modern conveniences yet still has all the charm of an old cottage. It is just as the pictures shows yet better when you get to experience the surroundings and peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside. Our kids loved roaming freely in search of cats or lizards or butterflies. We enjoyed leisurely mornings by the beautiful pool although be prepared it's a little chilly as its not heated. Brigita was the most attentive host I have ever met.... And we stay at many rental homes. She was very accomodating when I had trouble wiring funds to secure the property and then continued to show kindness and thoughtfulness the entire stay. She welcomed us to the house with the bounty from her garden a bottle of delicious olive oil from olives on their groves of trees and a bottle a red and white wine. If that weren't enough she greeted us the next morning with a freshly made cheesecake and a few mornings later she dropped off a basket of plums from her trees. So generous and kind! She cleaned the pool everyday which was very unexpected as well. Overall we would come back in a heartbeat. We traveled for two weeks in Croatia and loved the region where the house was so much. We enjoyed daily day trips to Pula, Rovinj, Trieste Italy, Porec Slovenia and Opatija. All within a 45 mins to 1 and 15 mins drive... So very doable for a day trip. We fell in love with the hill town Motovun which is a short drive away and had dinner enjoying the sunsets and views three different nights. Bottom line I would stay here again if we were to ever come back to Croatia, it was a highlight of our trip!

A beautiful house in a small village in the Istrian mountains with "cool" and well maintained pool! The house is very nicely and tastefully furnished and fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation (including towels, bedlinen, even shampoo). Also the kitchen ("the heart of the home") is perfectly equipped. Remarkable hospitality of the landlord with gifts of wine, olive oil, vegetables...). All in all a very nice stay!

The property is beautiful and of a high quality. Everything we could think of was available in the house. The location is great if you like being a bit secluded, which for us was what we were looking for. Brigita is an excellent host and she goes out of her way to accomodate you.

I went for Croatie for the first time, this place is very beautiful !The house itself is wonderful, cosy, completely renovated with a nice swimming pool. We really enjoyed this holiday and thank Brigita for his kindness and all its kind intentions. We shall return with pleasure in Croatia in its house.
