The property was clean and was in a good location to what we wanted to do.

The room was pretty small but it is perfect for 1/2 days stay.

Location was fabulous. right near Marble Arch, Hyde Park and lots and lots of restaurants, cafes, not to mention Oxford Street shopping. the breakfast was good even though not in the same premises. it was a few doors down at a sister property.

when we first arrived, we were given a 6th floor room (on top level). No lift. This room was disgusting. Anythimg that could fall off, did. Anythimg that didn’t fall off, didn’t work. it was terrible. we complained nicely and we’re told there was no other room. due to is flying out the next day for a quick trip to Spain, we organised with the staff to move our larger luggage into another room ready for when we came back. The staff dealt with this really well. when we arrived back after two days, we’d been moved into another room on the 2nd level with our luggage ready and waiting. this room was really good and large and had everything you could need. Another thing that could be improved is the reception staff. Although they were all helpful and friendly, none of them spoke English well and couldn’t help in a concierge type of way. I’d suggest training the staff in all things that tourists want, so staff can help their clients. the curtains, bedding and furniture are dated and worn and should really be replaced. pillows were ok but a bit lumpy.

Basic maintenance needed. Plants in window boxes were dead making a poor first impression In my room the usb charging point could not be accessed because it was pushed through into the wall. There was no plug for the bathroom sink. The shelf for soap and toiletries in the shower was loose and slanted down so items slid off. Same for the makeup mirror — it was loose and drooped down from the wall and could not be used.

had to walk up 4 very steep flights of stairs, a gentleman kindly carried my bag up but I had to carry it down when checking out
