the location is amazing in terms of proximity to the ocean, which is only a few meters away from the breakfast table. Looking from the balcony to the Indian Ocean is amazing. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared. As this is a rather touristic spot, the location tends to be a bit loud in the evenings from neighboring hotels and the beach can be crowded. Also the waves where so strong that swiming in front of the hotel was not possible. The beach is cleaned on a regular basis. The rooms are compfy as are the beds, but have seen their share of guests and could use some freshening up.

overall a good experience, property is well situated and right on the beach . Staff is very humble and helpful.

Minor renovations in terms of furniture can improve the experience further.

Great location and great staff. Building is unique and has a nice vibe. You can always pop in next door for a pizza.

The place is well located , the staff is really nice and goes out of their way to feel comfortable. The breakfast is awesome too. One can swim with the turtles at the turtle beach which is located within walking distance. The rooms are big and most of the rooms have good views

The swimming pool is not as big as seen in the pictures. The sea / beach in front of the hotel is too rough , one has to walk around 400-600 meters to find a nice beach (turtle beach) . The hotel is located near the Dallawala beach and not exactly in Unawatuna

Everything was wonderful. The staff! really really superb! in everything. whatever you want or need they will attend to it. The manager can handle any situation. I loved how the staff treat my kids, they will play with them and provide anything they want. One time one of my girls wanted a mango juice which was not served in breakfast, the staff went out of the hotel to provide the juice to them and when I asked to pay, they refused and said that this is from us to the kids. Yeh and when we checked out, the a manager give us small gift which is small elephant souvenir. How good is that?
