Felix and his family - Milagro, Axel, and Diego provided a unique and unforgettable experience. The setting is stunning and very peaceful. Felix took us on a 3 hour tour of the Uros islands during which he taught us about the Uros culture, the flora, fauna, and fish in the area, and how the floating islands are constructed. After dinner, Milagro would give each of us a hot water bottle to warm our beds, which was greatly appreciated. When we left the lodge, we were each given a lovely handicraft made by Milagro.

Amazing place to stay- we 100% would recommend it if you are visiting Puno. We wish we could have stayed longer. Felix is a perfect host and him and his family are so kind. He arranged our taxi from the bus stop to the port where he was waiting at 5:30am. Our room was ready for us when we arrived and we were able to rest before having a really tasty breakfast. Felix then took us to the restaurant on the islands for lunch and then a 2 hour tour of the community. It was so interesting and Felix is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about life on the islands. Our room was beautiful and we were given a lovely homecooked dinner. It does get chilly but there are layers and layers of blankets and Felix gave us all hot water bottles which stayed warm all night. The day we left Felix made breakfast for us early and took us back to the mainland where a taxi was already waiting. Felix had also managed to speak to a contact at Peru Hop so that we could go straight to the bus rather than having to wait for the mini bus with everyone else. He even gave us a parting gift which was so special. Our day/night at Felix's home was our favourite during our whole time in Peru. We'd recommend it to everyone and we'll remember it forever. Felix goes the extra mile and then some. Arriving at 6 in the morning (or earlier) is no problem. For 20 soles you get a taxi to the port where Felix will pick you up with his boat and take you to the Islands. We got an early check in so we could sleep a little before breakfast. Did I already say the breakfast is amazing? The second day we also got breakfast. In the afternoon we got a free lesson about the lives on the island and how everything works. What an incredible community. Checkout is whenever you need to leave for a bus and Felix takes you to the mainland when you need to go, doesn't matter if this is 6 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. All by all this was an amazing experience, highly recommend.

this experience was simply a dream ❤️ the location, Felix and his family made this stay amazing. they welcomed and treated us as part of their family, sharing their culture with us. I will always be grateful for getting to know them.

This accommodation is truly exceptional. We got dinner, warm bottles under the blankets and a beautiful private look around the Uros community. The owner took care of the pick-up and drop-off. They also offered soroche pills and were very pleasant during the whole experience. I recommend getting up early and watching the sunrise from the tower.

We knew that but please note there are showers outside the lodge. It will be perfect one day when the showers are in every lodge.

Felix and his family offer commendable hospitality. He is very aware of the history of the Aymara and the Uros people and gave us a tour of the area. He also gave me a parting gift, a gesture which will keep the Uros people alive in my memory! Totally recommended.

The only thing that could be an issue for some people would be that there is one bathing area, but then again, this is a floating island. You would be surprised at how well Felix has catered to every need!

The host of the hotel, Felix, is soooooo nice and kind, and also really supportive when we have some accident on our way to puno. Felix is fun and warm! Also, Felix took us to the mid of the lake to see the milkyway, and explain the culture and star maps for us. Really like the atmosphere he gave us and we would definitely recommend to book us hostel when you come to titikaka:)

Amazing family who couldnt of done more to to make us feel welcome. The setting is incredible, sitting on the water watching the sunset was one of the highlights of 3 month trip so far.

It gets very cold at night and you need to wear the right clothes for that even to sleep

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lodge. The view from our window was super nice. Felix, the owner of the place, is kind, very knowledgeable and makes extra efforts for his guests. He also speaks good English. During your stay, you will be offered a trip Taquile Island (it's really worth visiting), then Felix will show the most important sites of Uros community and tell many historical facts about Titicaca as well as about building and maintaining a floating island. Later in the evening, you will have a chance to try on some traditional clothes and taste the reeds that are so important to the locals.

This was a perfect stay for a Uros experience. The owners, a small family, helped us with everything: sailing, food, history.

Staying with Felix and his family was an amazing experience. They are very warm and friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. The lodge and surroundings are beautiful. There are organized activities throughout the hole day that can be tailored to your preferences. Getting from and back to Puno was organized by Felix and was a breeze.
