This is a love hotel and should not be adverstised on Booking, it is absolutely not for foreign tourist. You need to checkout everyday between 12h00 and 15h00, even if it rains Some reviews say its close to the train/subway station - It is not! Its 1.4 km (20 minutes) from the station. So after a day of visiting Kyoto if you want to go back to your room before diner, you have to factor in 30 minutes of subway and 3 km of walking. Pay a bit more, this is really a bad place to be. We had a smoking room our first night

The room was huge for what you pay for. The bath was a particular treat, although a little small. Bed was large, but firm. Incredibly cheap for what you get, if you are only looking for a place to keep you bags and sleep at night. If you can get over the nature of the hotel, it is a great deal.

This is clearly a love/s*x hotel. Be aware of this when you are booking. The lack of natural light is unfortunate but understandable. Location is a little remote, but there is a lovely temple close by. Door lock and check out system is a little jarring but barely impacted us on our trip.

Spacious room with everything you need in terms of toiletries and getting freshen up. Bubble bath and massage chair was also appreciated. The reception and hallway was really cool and well decorated. The room lacked a bit of interior love in comparison. Free small breakfast (3 different options) that was quite delicious.

A lot of items were out of stock during our stay (food and drinks). So the room service options were very limited. The bed was also too hard for my liking.. 😅 Limited help in menus if you don’t know Japanese very well, so be ready to use Google Translate.
