Cute place to stay. Good anenities for beach fun too.

Balboa Sea Escape exceeded all my expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully considered and made for a lovely stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, the bed was super comfortable, parking was convenient (the garage is indeed small even for a compact car so I parked there once and then there was easy street parking the rest of the time), and the location was perfect for exploring the area by foot or by car. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe and at ease. Communication with the owners was easy and helpful. It's a beautiful space with a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Five stars!!!

Our stay was perfection! Lovely small cottage/apt, had everything we needed. Comfy bed, fully-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the patio for our breakfast and coffee. Used the grill and kitchen. Will definitely use this one again :)

2nd time staying here. Love the location. Easy to beach and restaurants. Very clean and enjoyable place to stay. Easily one of the better places to stay if parking is an issue no issues finding street parking at any time if you don't use the garage.

Pros * Location, Location, Location - within walking distance to both piers, lots of stores and restaurants, and just across the street from the beach! * Very clean * Comfy bed - slept great! * Nice and very well stocked kitchen - we would have appreciated more than two packets of coffee for a 5-night stay but it held us over until we could buy coffee. * The outdoor patio and table is a nice place to have morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. * This apartment set back from the street which is nice. Cons * Sound - overall quiet but at night I could hear snoring and coughing from Apt B as well as phone notifications. There is sound from Balboa Blvd as well but it subsides at night. * Figuring out how to get the mini-split heating/cooling system set right (even with the instructions) but we did and were then comfortable. * Sofa isn’t the most comfortable but worked for us. * The description of a very small shower is accurate. It worked for me (5’4”, 130lb) and my husband was alright (5’11”, 185) but if you are a very large person, it will quite cramped. * The interior of the bathroom medicine cabinet could use some attention and the paint is beginning to peel off the bathroom door and walls. I only had one communication with the property manager while we were there and they responded immediately. We would definitely stay here again!

Great space for 1-2 people. Unit was very well appointed, very clean, easy walkable location to lots of fun things to do, ocean and bay.

3 stars on cleanliness because there was broken candy in the dresser, there was.long black hair all over the toilet and shower walls plus tons of sand on the tile. We used a small wash towel for our feet prior to climbing into bed. Cute little condo/apt. Studio. Extremely small shower but it worked freaking amazing. My biggest complaint is the bed. Completely dipped and sagged at the head of the bed. Pillows kind of made up for it. Im a naturally hot bodied person, and love AC, This AC worked ok. Everything was great minus the bed. If we decide to come back to Newport we will choose here again. Thank you for having us.

The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. the unit was quite I did not hear any noise from the neighboring units. It met the description on the website. The location was great. A block off the beach and many nights we walked to the Naples Pier for dinner. The location is really nice because you are between the two piers but it is a quiet sweet spot. If you like to walk there is the ocean side and the bayside which are both beautiful. Lovely. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The space is fairly small, but it has a great layout; perfect for a couple. The furniture is very nice, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the decorations are pleasant. We loved having a garage spot and easy access to the beaches. The instructions for check-in/check-out were helpful and clear. We will definitely consider this spot again for our next Newport Beach trip!

Visiting my family and the rental was very close to their home! I could walk back and forth!

We had a great vacation and enjoyed our stay. Good location within a nice walk from everything we needed.

This little spot is gem. Clean, quiet, close to EVERYTHING.Kitchen, great shower and bathroom and ventilation. And it has a small GARAGE to store my fishing gear and kayak! The hosts made it very easy to access with clear instructions on locks, times etc. I will certainly go back. It's perfect for one or two people.

BalboaEscape is perfectly located , well stocked, meticulously clean and well managed . Thoughtfully there are power strips everywhere !

Next door unit kept us up all night, and I mean all night, with exceessive noise and loud music. We left one day early.

The location seemed pretty ideal to us. Located between the two piers, the noise is slightly less and not as many of the crowds. The apartment is just as advertised, everything in working order. The bed is amazingly comfortable. We didn’t end up parking in the garage as street parking was available this time of year.

Property is centrally located and convenient to walk to the beach, bay and many nearby restaurants. Unit was clean and well equipped.

From the start, there was great communication with the owner. The location and the property represented what was online. We made great memories and enjoyed a little respite.

We enjoyed this property and would recommend. The bed was comfortable, unit was clean, easy to find parking nearby, quick access to beach. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin, we could hear the Tv and snoring in our neighbors unit.

I definitely would stay again. Managers were very accommodating and sent good instructions of how to work the door key pads. My wife and I loved being here. Thank you.

Stayed 4 nights. Most days drove to Knott's and Disney but one day was a beach day. They had chairs in great condition and and umbrella along with cooler which we were not expecting. Very clean and great shower. We didn't use the kitchen but very organized. This is our second trip to Balboa and last time we stayed on the island but the peninsula is way better for getting in and out. It's a perfect location to the beach. Not sure if on their recommendations list but check out Baja Sharkeez. Fun place. Garage is very small but they're all small here. Barely fit mustang in on first night but mostly used street parking as many spots were open.

Wonderful five days on the Balboa Peninsula! Walked to the beach and biked from Jetty to piers. A little noise from attached apartment through wall. Owner responded to request for extra coffee.

We loved staying at this property! Perfect for a couple and In a great location! We were a block away from the beach and a short distance from great food and bars! Will be returning!!
