Great pool area, friendly staff, tasty food in the restaurant. This was our second stay here and we would always return. It is a lovely place.

The room can get a bit hot despite the aircon and the prices in the restaurant are quite high.

It would be perfect to have a balcony on the upper room (not just an opened roof with limited view). Nevertheless the room was very nice

Amazing staff that tended to all our needs. Breakfasts and dinners were absolutely superb! A very short drive to Bale- a beautiful old village with several nice bars and reataurants.

The staff, the location of the winery, the excellent breakfast and the delicious coffee made our stay unforgettable. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfy.

The drain of the shower caused some problems. No shampoo nor conditioner were available but the availability of showergel&body lotion of Rituals were great.

Very good breakfast, lovely homemade jams, fantastic cheese, ham, fruit - good variety. Gluten free bread available, but like everywhere in Croatia, tasted like cardboard (bring your own) We were double booked for our first night and were rebooked into La Grisa in Bale. Stunning historical Hotel with lots of charm and an amazing restaurant, also highly recommended. An exceptional experience we wouldn‘t have had and thoroughly enjoyed! Upgraded into a room by the pool at San Tomasso which was truly fabulous. Lovely to relax on our terraced the pool.

Dinner was good, but pricey. Wines were complex and very good and it was fantastic to try different wines with our meal. Didn‘t find one that was exactly perfect for my taste though.

Probably the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed at! There has been no expense spared, the hotel, the rooms, the pool, the food and the service were perfect, will be definitely going back just to stay here again!

We were the first guests of the season. The property is gorgeous. Our room was nice with beautiful finish touches and softest towels I have ever had in the hotel. Staff was nice, helpful and friendly. We have even got a selection of Istrian specialties and gin to try from the owner. Breakfast was amazing. Very good place to relax, enjoy, visit Istria and have a good time. I will come again.

Simply the best stay in Istria so far, extremely cosy and beautiful environment with exceptionally friendly staff. We will come again!

The property was exceptional and the staff were super helpful and friendly. We loved the intimate feel of the property and how relaxing the surrounds made us feel. We stayed in a deluxe king room by the pool area and it was super quiet and tastefully decorated and very spacious. The entire property was super clean and the local breakfast was delicious. We dined there on night 1 and the dinner was lovely as were their own wines. We would love to come back again and enjoy the pool when it's warmer. Overall a perfect stay and well located for day trips around Istria.

What a beautiful room, and thank you for giving us a tour of the winery just for the two of us followed by a wine tasting and 'plate'. We visited at the end of October, and the restaurant was closed, but the excellent plate of tasty cold meats and cheeses with the wine tasting, along with their own extra virgin olive oil and bread was a meal in itself. We loved tasting the different wines, and this is the first time we'd come across Malvasia wine, which is a variety particularly grown in Istria. It was a wonderful experience and beautiful quality wines. During the wine tour we saw the room where the wines are made, and also their small museum which is also used for large group winetastings above the main restaurant. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with two windows (with blackout curtains, net curtains and mesh against bugs) overlooking the terrace at the restaurant. The bathroom was quite luxurious too, with three settings on the shower (overhead, hand held and 'horizontal massage type jets'. Just after we arrived, I had a swim in the pool at the back of the property, which was cool (but warmer than the sea) and big enough to swim a few strokes before turning. The lovely loungers looked inviting tor spending a day by the pool if we had visited at a warmer time of the year! Car parking is safe within the gates of the property. The key ring has a key for your room, the main front door, a fob to operate the electric gates into the property so you can drive in, and a key for the door to the swimming pool. Sadly we only had one night as we didn't have enough days of holiday! We loved visiting the historical towns on our drive through Istria, like nearby Bale and the less touristy smaller town of Barban. Relais and Wine San Tomasso would be a great base for a holiday visiting all the areas of Istria.

The room was new and clean. Breakfast was good. That's about it.

Outside pool wasn't heated. Jacuzzi wasn't working at all, although it was the cold season (and it was mentioned in the hotel facilities during our dates of reservation). No kettle in the room. There was no option to get any hot water for drink after 7pm. My husband got a cold and I wanted to make him some tea. The staff did not help us to get any hot water during the evening despite our health situation. Location isn't great and there is nothing to eat around. Wine was overpriced although the winery is located at the hotel.

The bathroom was wonderful with heated floors and really nice shower. The breakfast was so good and different on the two nights we stayed. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting. It's a great location if you have a car to explore the area.
