We were surprised it was a duplex. No kayacks but listed on amenities. Needs updated furniture and a good cleaning. Loved the pool and dock for boat. Kitchen well stocked and beds comfortable. Overall a good vacation spot.

Not as clean as it should be, when I did call George about this he came to see what I was referring to , ( baby bottle with milk found under tv, coffee stains on cabinets, filthy trash bin) Refrigerator was very loud, blender was cracked could not be used, handle on kitchen faucet was broken. Water pressure was minimal especially in master bath. No bikes were provided as stated in description , when I called George he finally agreed to bring a few. Overall we had a good vacation but I wouldn’t rent this house unless the owner does a major cleaning and maintenance.

Great location in Marathon. House comfortably slept our group of 7. Pool was nice and having a washer dryer was great. When we arrived the microwave handle and kitchen sink faucet were held together by duck tape. The bikes had flat tires and no pump to pump them up. They did drop off 2 additional bikes for us to use.

The property has what appears to be long term maintenance and cleaning issues. The appliances had problems. Kitchen sink faucet handle broken. Refrigerator was very loud. Microwave handle broken. Many lightbulbs were out in canned ceiling lights. The kitchen supplies dishes,utensils, etc. very limited.The sofas were TERRIBLE - DIRTY, AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The sunset was beautiful, but the sun is so blinding, without curtains or blinds, it was hard to enjoy. The owners changed the cable tv to streaming without notifying us. When we called they did come out with a bag full of Fire Sticks, power supply and remotes. They were in the house about half a day doing the conversion. George, the maintenance man was responsive but did not fix a lot of the items (fridge, microwace, sink, light bulbs,, etc) stating he would fix them after we left. This place needs to be updated, replenished, and cleaned top to bottom. The location is good, but everything else could be so much better. We did enjoy our stay regardless of these issues but it was not worth the cost and we will not rent there again.

It was good to have a dock and a pool. Had a minor issue with AC that I can’t acted ranger about and he was on it. Seem like good folks.

We had a group of nine and everyone was comfortable. The pool was perfect. Great spot to park our boat trailer and vehicles. Docking for our boat was amazing. Convenient to stores restaurants etc. Really couldn't have asked for anything more.

The house was centrally located at mile marker 50 in Marathon with super close convenience stores gas stations and restaurants. Pool was clean the dock was nice. The house was adequate for eight adults with four bedrooms and three baths. The only negative was the 25 to 30 minute boat ride from our dock to open water.

I'll start with positives...comfortable beds, close to the beach and less than a block from grocery stores, roomy enough for the 5 of us (not sure how it would work for 10 ppl), fairly well stocked kitchen (except for utensils..mostly spoons). Negatives... this is a duplex, meaning if you have people next door they may use your parking and dock space, which is what happened to us, the place needs major upkeep and a good cleaning, there was dog hair in the sliding doors, couch, pillows and sheets with wear stains, the pool had papers and lots of leaves at the bottom, grass was overgrown, the ac filter was covered in gray nastiness, things falling apart like toilet paper holder and sink faucet. One afternoon I arrived after being out all day looking forward to hanging out at the pool and the lawn maintenance people were there cutting grass and trees which I feel could have been scheduled for a date when no one was using the place perhaps.

This house is in a great location, has everything you need and is very nice. Only thing I would say is if you are planning to paddle board or something like that it is hard to get on and off the dock. But other than that it was amazing and would recommend to anyone.

This is a nice unit. It has a ton of potential. Some general upkeep pertaining to paint, linens, towels, etc is needed. The reported 15 minute ride through the canal system to open waters is every bit of 30-35 minutes. Nice to have four bedrooms and they were kind enough to allow pets. We enjoyed our stay.

Location, location location it's so close to Publix and winn dixie you could walk there. Coast to Coast pizza is amazing for authentic NYC style pizza. The house was as described and well kept. The only suggestion I have is for bath mats for getting out of shower. Fl land crabs in the front and back yard were cool to see when they weren't hiding from us. Had manatees off the deck haning out for a good half hour. Pool was perfect after a day at the beach or on the boat. Sombrero beach is under 2 minutes away by car. Must check out 7 mile bridge for sunset and Bahia Honda State Park for snorkeling. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again!!! All amenities were as listed and in working order. We loved the pool and dock.. the cleaning station was very handy and the hose reached out to it for fish cleaning and boat cleaning!! It was about 25 minute idle to ocean but a beautiful ride!

Over all was great! I’d suggest they replace the bikes lots of rust and replace the huge shower heads for better water pressure. But over all my family enjoyed our stay

Great location to beautiful small Sombrero Beach, restaurants and shopping. The pool was very nice. The condition of the house was not the best as it needed some repairs and an overall good cleaning. However, all totaled my family had a great time.

Its in a excellent location. The idle out of the canal is very far approx 30 mins. The pool was green as soon as we arrived. the trash cans well full as well. The kitchen and toilets could be cleaned better, but thats it.

This is our second time renting this property and are already planning for next year. Enjoy the amenities and location . I would just make a suggestion to the owners to do an inventory on what’s available in the house. We had to buy more glassware and flatware as we had 8 people and there wasn’t enough available. The house and pool were clean. Could suggest a small refrigerator for the patio but got along fine by just bringing a cooler down. Stayed 2 weeks and enjoyed ourselves the entire time.

Lots of pros to this property-great location and size. Downsides were: the sofa cushions and soft coverings were filthy and stained. The beautiful new floor must not have been cleaned because the children had to wear socks after their baths because their feet would be black. We had trouble with the central air, the dishwasher & the pool heater, but the maintenance man was very nice and helpful. The silverware had ample knives and forks but only 4 spoons. The bedding included sheets and a sheet-like bedspread. There were blankets, but they were dirty and stained, so had to wash all the blankets prior to use. The home could have been better stocked with necessities, there was only 1 extra garbage bag in the kitchen, but maintenance provided another box when requested. The bathrooms were clean, the Fiestaware dishes were adorable. The pool area could have used some care-the grill was super small and full of grease (fire hazard). The patio needed to be power washed, and the lighting down there was poor. Finally, the patio door on the main floor did not have a window covering, which made eating in the dining area impossible as the sun was setting. Again, the home has so many possibilities -just needs a thorough cleaning and some amenities that you expect with a VRBO.

Loved this house. Was incredibly nice for the price we booked it for. Really enjoyed riding or running to the beach and back each day (About 3 miles round trip). I wish the bikes were in better shape but they did the trick. Needed more bedding for the pullout sofa. Very, very pleased with our stay

1- Beach is NOT 5 min walk. It’s a 5 min drive and 20 minute minimum walk. It IS a very nice beach.(Sombrero Beach) 2- The place is at the END of canal so boaters be aware. 20 minutes out to ocean through maze of canals. Pretty but takes a few minutes. 3- Grass needed cutting- pool needed backwash (was done a couple of days into stay) 4- Really needs help in cleaning- showers, floors, appliances. 5- Nice neighborhood and convenient to grocery store and good eats.

This property is just the type of rental we wanted for a mini season trip. We enjoyed 10 people without feeling over crowded. Having Publix and a bar within walking distance was great. Thank you to the host for providing a deep freezer which is often overlooked at rentals. The canal is realistically 35min of no wake each way.

This property did not meet the expectation of the price! And to be honest it was very embarrassing as we spent this kind of money and our friends showed up and it was terrible. Coming from being a VRBO owner this house failed to meet the basic necessities. It did not have bath towels, beach towels, paper towels, dish soap (then some was brought that was watered down) and adequate silverware (All these items were listed as being apart of our stay). The carpet on the stairs was awful, it was supposed to be tan but was almost black (we were told after our stay with were getting new carpet), the floors looked swept but not vacuumed or mopped. We could see sticky spots. Basically we stayed in a dirty expensive house. 2 of the 4 bikes worked. Hope they can turn things around...could really be an enjoyable place.

I expended the best time of my life even with the hurricane coming, loved the location and the easy access to everything, thanks 😊, we sure will come back again

Overall a great experience at this house! Was very easy to communicate with the property owner throughout our stay. House was beautiful and it was everything we expected. Although, it could have been a little bit cleaner. We noticed the floors accumulated quite a bit of sand/dirt from the previous renters once we arrived and the walls had marks/scuff throughout. There was an air conditioner issue the first night we got there, but it was solved very quickly, thanks to the property owner being so fast with responding and sending someone out ASAP!

When we arrive there were no toiletries. Not even a role of paper towels to hold us over to the next day. There were only 4 spoons for a 4 bedroom home and they had to be run thru the dishwasher before use. They were not clean. There was only one dish towel for entire week. The bottom bedroom had so much dog hair in the blankets that after washing 2xs there was still hair. Allot did come out though, proved by when we went downstairs our car was coated with dog hair as it was parked under vent. There were stains on our sheets, the bikes were rusting and not operable. There was a place to clean fish with no running water by it. Couch was filthy with stains. What was nice- it is on a very busy road however, house is built great. Well insulated. High ceilings, crown molding. You could not hear traffic at all. This is an example of an owner or investment group being very greedy. They charge allot and put no money back in the property to keep it nice. Oh- and when we returned home, the food we brought had ants in everything, so we had to throw it all away.

The place was overall very nice! While we were not in the house a lot when we were the sofas were not super comfortable. The code to access through the front door did not work. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and covered lanai! The boat ride out to the open water was a little farther than expected but we were on vacation so that didn't bother us too much. We would definately go back.

This property was not at all what we saw in the pictures that were posted online. This condo was absolutely filthy and overused, in desperate need of a complete redo with paint, new carpeting and furniture. There was more that needed to be done than could have been remedied by a quick shampoo of the carpet or the furniture. We worked with the local property manager and she also agreed that the condo was not in good or rentable condition and she would get our money back from the owner. So we rented another, fantastic VRBO rental just down the road. The owner than REFUSED to give us a refund for the nights not stayed at the property. DO NOT rent from this owner. Read the other reviews of complaints about it being in need of a deep cleaning and new furniture. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this is by far the most disappointing.

Beautiful home to rent. Easy access to beach and shopping. Very comfortable home with plenty of space. The pool was very refreshing. We had extra pool floats that we left for the next renters to enjoy. On our next stay we will plan on renting a boat for the week!! The only drawback was 2 of the lounge chairs were ripped and couldn't be used. Not a problem though. The grand kids were in the pool too much to care. We loved our stay and we are already planning our return trip.

This property was exactly as described! 8 of us stayed comfortably and it was extremely helpful to have some amenities there to be able to go to the beach! Being right down the road from sombrero beach was a huge plus and we took full advantage of that and the pool! Would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay again!
