Fantastic view from the balcony. Perfect location with everything within walking distance. It was a really great unit, just let down by a few items that could have been included - see below.

Linen was provided in a big bag on the dining table, so we had to make our own beds. Doona covers were dirty and stained. Kitchen had no bin bags, dishwashing liquid, sponge, etc - thought a small supply should have been included.

Great Unit, very well furnished and very comfortable. Very nice location.

We were there in very windy weather and the whole apartment rattles and whistles. It was extremely difficult to sleep and no matter how much we tried to close everything up the howling continued. Spoilt an otherwise great stay.

Nice view & convenient location for the function we attended

The communication from property management staff, which was a combination of faces to face & over the phone was extremely poor, confusing & difficult. The property management firm & office that manages the property is located in Nelson’s Bay, the property we stayed at is located in Shoal Bay a few kilometres away. I attended the office & collected the apartment key on Friday 1/3/22 at about 1:30pm, I was handed an envelope & told the apartment had been cleaned, where to drop the key off when leaving on Sunday 3/3/22 & to have a nice stay. I then drove to the apartment, when I arrived I tried to enter the car park but the security door would not open when I swiped the key-fob over the access panel so I exited & parked down the street in a dirt car park, which was not ideal as it was raining, I called the office to enquire & I spoke with a foreign lady with an accent, I explained the situation, she put me on hold for a few minutes then returned & said there was no allocated parking for the apartment & I ended the call. A few minutes later I was standing outside the apartment block in the rain looking for the entry door to the block when I noticed the number one the envelope & key tag was #581 yet I had booked #405, so I called the office back & spoke to the same lady & explained the situation, she put me on hold for a few minutes then returned & said the address was 405 but we were staying in 581, I explained that was quite confusing but I accepted it & hung up.

Location wise, it was very convenient to Shoal Bay and the shops. But it also meant a lot of nightime party noise and there was also construction in front of the apartment, which made chilling out at home during the day not possible. This was not necessarily the fault of the host.

When we arrived, there was half a roll of toilet paper and no dishwashing or laundry powder in the apartment. After writing back to tell us that a starter pack would be delivered but we had get our own laundry powder (fair enough), we didn't receive anything and had to buy our everything on our own. It's a small thing but nonetheless disappointing. Also, while we received new linen at the start, it was folded in a plastic bag and we had to make our own beds. We were not sure if this was the usual procedure as usually at most serviced apartments and Airbnbs, the new linen is already on the beds. When we asked, we received no response. Again, a minor issue but it adds up to an underwhelming experience, particularly for the price paid.

Location was perfect. View of the water and walk to beach and restaurants.

I barely slept. The small window in the bedroom is onto a neighbours balcony and they had a wind chime that clanged ALL night. I hardly slept for the 3 nights so coming back from holidays feeling worse than when I left. I’d book again if the hosts could sort that out.

The location is outstanding.

Sadly we had issues with some utensils were not cleaned, dishwasher was not unstacked. Some street noise was experienced.
