too small outdoor swimming pool for family hotel and we cannot use indoor swimming pool. restaurant is in another building and you must walk outdoor to get there, that’s ok when it’s sunny day.

Everything was perfect, accommodation, food, location, facilities for kids..

Heaven for kids! And parents too.

We loved the nature around the hotel, food and service. Rooms are bit small, hallways also, but it is not that bad.

We booked Family Hotel, and by its name one would think it is that one hotel with all activities for kids. But it is only hotel with small rooms and outside pool. When we checked the offer on Booking, they put pictures of Maro Suites which is 5 stars hotel, but the offer was actually for 4 stars hotel that only has outside pool. Besides the fact that we didn’t have wellness included or possibillity to use inside pool in Maro Suites, THE WORST WAS FACT THAT THEY DIDN’T LET US EAT WHERE THE BUFFET WAS, instead they asked us to take food and go sit 100 m further in an empty reataurant, because guests from Family Hotel have to eat there. This is absurd, because it wasn’t mentioned in offer before, neither in terms and conditions. And if I knew this before, we would never have gone in Valamar Girandella resort. It makes you feel like you worth less although we really paid high price. So i dont think that ratio of price you pay and service you get is balanced enough. Next time we will stick with familiar- Falkensteiner Family Hotel. And P.S. Although in other hotels this is standard- here you don’t get slippers and bathrobe, you have to pay for it.

Food Area too crowded - so we slipped both Dinners. Most people wear simple masks but not FFP2.

Whole resort is situated perfectly! Stuff is very friendly and supportive! Very clean! Well organized transportation from the parking place to the hotel. Sport activities are great!

We booked 5 start hotel and were forced to go out 3 times a day for a meal in another building. In a hotel lobby there were much to much people much to close to each other, most / lot of them without face mask, hotel was fully sold out and there were simply to much people at each and every corner!! We booked Valamar 5 star and apart of the room which was really nice all other what we got was really disappointing!! Nowhere in the world in 5 star you are walking and waiting for the food at the buffet which was not bad, but far away from the 5 star and bunch of small children are running around you while taking your food ( nothing wrong about children but based on available information we believed to have booked something else but this ). We tried to move in one restaurant where there were not such a crowd ( Momenti ) against additional payment ( although we were booked in 5 star!! ) it was not allowed despite of the fact that no other restaurant where we could go was available ( because of the pandemic only 3 were open at Valamar instead of 6 which are promoted at the web site ( we were allowed to go to 2 of them, self service ). Indoor pool was unbelievably overcrowded like no COVID around us!! Of course, we did not use it! It is also necessary to mention that the fact about restaurant ( all together 3 times a day at the buffet outside of the Hotel building without any alternative ) is not clearly communicated and properly described at the booking.com site!

Rabac is beautiful and girandella is also very good place to stay. For families with smaller kids I would recommend to stay at Maro suits because they have indoor and outdoor pools and big playgrounds for kids. That is important especially if you come in preseason period like we did so it is not warm enough for outside pools or swimming in sea. Staff are very kind, food is good and views are perfect
